Well I guess fan base and income was a big part of the Seattle Sonics becoming the Oklahoma Thunder. Look:

i wouldnt be surprised though if it's just cuz they're new and everyone's excited ya know? kinda like Sounders FC coming to seattle.

Yeah, but a soccer city is much different from any other sport. The fan base for soccer in Seattle is pretty good; I think they have a USL soccer team there.
