Robert had Farah keep up the Ember attack, causing steam to fill the area. Once he heard the command Sleepy, Robert knew a hypnosis attack was comming up. He knew that if he sent Farah into the honeycomb, the next move would most likely be to flood it. However, right now Farah was the only one of his pokemon with a super effective attack at her disposal. At least in the honeycomb he had a chance to have her come up on command at a random hole and get off an energy ball shot. "Farah, into the honeycomb and get yourself near a hole, any one is fine!" Robert called out. With that, Farah jumped in and ran over to the one close and to the left of Polywhirl. The last thing he wanted was to have more than one pokemon asleep.

(not to be a jerk, but hypnosis is the only psychic attack that effects dark type pokemon. I don't really know why and i can't explain it, but it does. sorry about that.
I tried finding pages that explain it, but unfortunately, I couldn't. However, I took a trip to the SPP chat and they said it does and I tested it in my diamond version, and it affects dark types.)

wanting to rid the field of the honeycomb, Jake quickly came up with a strategy which may or may bot fill up the holes, "Poliwhirl, use mud shot to fill the holes with mud, then use ice punch to freeze the mud in place!" Unsure of this decision, Jake hoped that it would push Vulpix out of the mud and then bring the stadium back to normal.

"Farah, Energy Blitz now!" Robert called out just as Polywhirl was busy sealing up onr of the holes. Farah burst forth from the hole she was in, launching an energy orb to cover her, and then the rest directly aimed at Polywhirl. If she could hit Polywhirl before it could pull off another hypnosis, he could at least tdo a sizable amount of damage, or at beast, faint it. He had a back-up plan already cooking if Farah fell to hypnosis, but it was a risky gamble. But first he needed to see how his plan would pan out. With Energy Ball being a grass type move, it would certainly be super effectve if the attack hit.

"Quick Poliwhirl, dodge and use hypnosis!" Poliwhirl quickly jumped and dodged the energy ball and shot a hypnosis in Vulpix's direction.

"Farah, run around Polywhirl and continue to attack with energy ball!" Robert called out. He needed to have Farah land at least one shot before Polywhirl was ordered to spin around with his hypnosis. If he ws going to have another pokemon put to sleep, he might as well try to get a solid hit in prior.

"Poliwhirl, take the hit and spin while using hypnosis!" The energy ball hit Poliwhirl dealing a super effective hit. Poliwhirl then spun around, continuing her hypnosis attack.

Robert recalled Farah as the hypnosis landed. Now it was time to take care of it. Farah had scored a supereffective hit, and now it was time for another. "Farah return. Lilly, Mean Look and Magical Leaf! And if it uses hypnosis, Teleport!" Robert called out. Kirlia jumped into action and launched a Mean Look at Polywhirl along with a spiral of magical leaves which would home in on Polywhirl. This combination would ensure that Polywhirl would not be able to escape the attack.

"Poliwhirl, use water gun to reduce the impact of magical leaf!" Poliwhirl slowed down the magical leaf, but was still struck, taking the super effective hit. "Now Poliwhirl, use mud shot!" Poliwhirl sent a mud shot in Kirlia's direction.

"Now, Geisha Dance!" Robert called out. With this, Lilly used Double Team to surround the Polywhirl and unleashed another wave of Magical Leaf in such a way that it would appear as though it was comming from all sides, though in truth it circles around and then launches at Polywhirl.
[Hope you don't mind if I try something in helping to determine hits and misses during manuvers like this. Rolling 1d20 to see if the attack connects with the real Lilly. 15-20 hits the real Kirlia with Mudshot]

Poliwhirl was hit with the magical leaf attack, dealing one last super effective hit before she was fainted. Jake recalled Poliwhirl to her pokeball and then thought hard before choosing his next pokemon. "Cross, come on out!" Scyther came from his pokeball, quick and ready for more battle.
"Alright Cross, use Quick Attack and finish up with fury cutter!" Scyther sped towards the group of Kirlia.

The scyther flew right through one shadow clone. Robert knew Psychics were weak to bug attacks. It was time to bring out his tank. "Lilly, return. Hogan, Icy Rage!" Robert called, recalling Kirlia and bringing out his powerhouse Gyarados. He still had a decent chunk of his health removed from the electric attack from earlier. However, Hogan had more endurance than any of his other pokemon, except perhaps Mathias. Hogan launched a blast of Dragon Rage at Scyther while chilling his fangs as he himself launched forward while unleashing dragon rage. If Hogan could get in close enough, he would clamp his jaws down on Scyther and chuck the bug away from him.
