They said up to 25 new animals will join the lineup that were not in AC:GCN or AC:WW. I'd guess that those 25 are all for either new holidays or ones that can move into town.
Hopefully we get a couple more of the rarer animals. There's only like what, four wolves, a couple eagles, a couple crocs, hell even some animals only have one of them in the game.
