Okay, so when I bought it there was a ton of junk in the back--everything from sharpies to Pez containers to cigarette packs to kitchen knives eek --and it had two broken windows, awful tires, spark plugs that hadn't been changed in years, the oil had been changed twice in 6 years, and the back is rusting through.
These pictures were taken after I replaced the two windows--well, got my boyfriend to replace the windows, of which he cracked both! scream I'm not too annoyed though, at least there are windows now. We cleaned out the entire back and washed it with a pressure washer xd A few weeks after this I replaced the spark plugs and started primering the inside with anti-rust primer...

This is the worst rusted spot--the red splotches were where I filled in the holes that had been eaten through with spot putty.

The writing on the walls ninja Done by a group of stoners with a Sharpie on the way to California from Colorado stressed

Aand the ceiling.. I didn't take pictures of most of it because the rest was pretty vulgar.

So, this is what I had to work with xd

Now I'm almost finished primering the inside, it'll take a couple more cans of paint to finish the doors and floor, but it's definitely an improvement 3nodding
Last Sunday I finished painting the front of it xd Since then I've gotten a few odd looks but mostly positive feedback whee
Ta-daa!

Awesome!
How're you going to do the back of the van? Couches and stuff or what?

Well, I went to a flea market type place just outside of town and completely stocked the back, for $15.00! I got two bean bags (a huge blue one and a kid-sized dark red one), a half-circle type living room armchair, and about ten big pillows to sit on. There's a red carpet in it and I'm going to paint the inside lavendar. I'd take pictures but right now there are big boxes full of books in the back from the book recycling drive we had in June xd

Oh yeah! lol the inside's almost completely primered gray now, and I cleaned it out the other day to take pictures:

Next up: painting the inside lavendar. heart
Then I think I'm going to have my friends put paint handprints all over the inside and sign them...

Does the van hold up well where you used the putty? I think what you are doing would be so fun.

I haven't had a problem with extra rust or the holes getting bigger since I put the putty there, but I've had a carpet over it so it hasn't been exposed to the elements as much as it was before I adopted it.
I've had a lot of fun with it; I just wish I had more time and money to spend with it stressed The good thing is that if I screw up horribly I can always trade it in and am almost guaranteed a better deduction than what I paid for it.

Your van is looking great!
I find it rather sad when people don't treat their things well.
