So, Once upon a time I got gamemaker on my dad's computer, and I used my code on my mom's laptop, 'cause my computers didn't have internet.
But I bought a new computer, and so I put in the code, and I think it said it worked (I didn't pay close attention)
But, it says Failed to set data for "" And is still the lite version.
Trying the code again, it told me it can only be used once. eek sad What now confused

I think it's a combination of two issues:
1. GameMaker still in lite... Either you have used up all of your activations (can't remember how much you get) or it reverted back to Lite (happens sometime)... either way the only solution I know is to send an email to support@softwrap.com, include the name you registered with, activation email and registration email (it might only be necessary to include the two last... cant remember) and ask them for new activations for GameMaker 7 Pro... once they've replied, you can go re-register your gamemaker...
2. Failed to set data for "" I also noticed this and thought it was because it was installed wrong... then I found the answer on the yoyogames site... it's because you have Windows Vista... you can get rid of the message by setting gamemaker to run as administator... When I did this I got the Vista-"Are you sure you gave permission to this?"-message instead everytime I started Gamemaker and I decided that I prefered "Failed to set data for """... although I could probably get rid of the vista message by turning off UAC... It doesn't seem to have any effect on GameMaker as far as I know...
hope that helps...
