Alright. I have FOUR questions for you guys.

1. What is the funniest/cutest question you've ever been asked about your disability...illness...or whatever?

2. What is the weirdest?

3. What is the rudest question you've ever been asked?

4. What did you say to question number 3? OR...The best comeback you've heard to a stupid question like that [or something similar].

For me...

1. The funniest/cutest question..hands down...HAS to go to...this little girl I saw in the videogame area of Wal-Mart. She's like..."Hey lady...I'm Emily...What's your name? ... Oh. How old are you? I'm 6. ... How'd you break your legs?" ....It was adorable. I actually started laughing...xD;; I didn't mean to...but it was just so random...and so cute. It's funny how little kids associate things with other things.

2. "How do you sleep?" ... For a minute there...I was like..."Wha? ...uh...I close my eyes...and then...drift off...and snore...?" But then I realized...she was asking me if I slept in my chair...or if I got into bed. xDD; Oops. Well...Then I explained that I 'transfer' into my bed...and everything's normal from there. >_>

3. ...This boy...Ugh... I don't even know WHY people have to ask...I mean...I suppose it's something you'd need to know someday...if you're WITH THAT PERSON. I hardly knew him. I just knew his name and that he's in my grade. That was it. But...He was like..."...Are you able to...you know...do it? ... I basically told him that it's none of his business. x_x; It really made me mad...and it was kind of random, too. He just came up to me one time at the homecoming dance and asked.

4. This happened to a friend of mine who also has Spina Bifida [We go to a summer camp together for teens with that. :] ]...She was at a store getting groceries...when she noticed this little boy staring at her. She smiled at him. His mom noticed this and quickly pulled him away...She said to him, "Johnny![made up name. xD] Don't stare at her like that, she's retarded." My friend...normally would ignore stupid people as they weren't worth her time...but she felt the need to speak up here. She said, "Um...Excuse me, ma'am. I don't know if you realize just what you're teaching your child...but I can assure you that nothing good will come out of ignorance. Now...I'm going to be the bigger person and leave without saying any more...but I would advise you to keep in mind what I just said." The woman had the weirdest look on her face...then quickly walked away with her kid. Mwah. I love it. Best comeback ever. :]

uh...let's see...

1. like you I had many cute adorable kids ask that
rolleyes

2.ppl asked me how do you sleep too sweatdrop mostly boys....
but the most weird one would be.....well this wasn't a question actually.
This one boy thought I never got off wheelchair and I was there 24/7

3.uh...rude?? most questions ppl ask kinda have rude tone well some are exceptions. There was this one boy I've known for like 8 yrs and I thought we were pretty close as a friend but that boy went around telling that my handicap wasn't a permanent one and would get better after the surgery when my illness IS a permanent one and there was no cure. that was little shock since it was from someone I knew for a long time

4.I don't really have comebacks like that....I'm quite shy actually...or maybe ...

Wahey, a new thread!

1. I don't really get asked anything out of the ordinary o.O Just the usual, what's wrong kind of questions...I feel left out now gonk

2. I don't know if it would qualify as a question-y type thing but a girl started to scream/cry when she saw me in my wheelchair...it unnerved and annoyed me a little bit O.O

3. "You're faking it aren't you!?" XD To be fair, it was my friend messing around ^^

4. I think I responded with something like "I'll fake you!" and proceeded to chase after and punish (mwahaha) said friend...not very cool huh? ^^;

@Windy: Kids are great, eh? :] They never really seem...rude...just curious. <3 And yeah, a lot of people seem to just...not get it. o__O Like...that you're not permanently GLUED to the chair...just...in it to get around..? -Shrug-

...And that IS rude. D: I mean...It's one thing to ask you about it...but like...to just go around talking about you behind your back? I think everyone can relate to that. It's just not cool.

@Shimi-Baka: Pff. ;D The least I could do...Seemed like this place could use a new thread or two. :]

>___> Omg it just got dark...really fast. Storm. D: [/offtopic]

Awww. Well...Little kids are NORMALLY great...but uh. I've never quite had THAT reaction before. O___O;; Then again...You can't let yourself get too offended by that...if she's just a little kid, then she doesn't understand...and what she doesn't understand...frightens her, you know? >_> It's just like me with ghosts...They interest me...but...I don't quite understand them, so I WILL admit...I do get a little scared sometimes.

AND OHMYGOD THAT JUST REMINDED ME~ xDD My "friend" Megghun [the one I mentioned before who only talked to me at first because she felt sorry for me.]...as well as my friend Michael now [Best friend. <3 :3] ...SWEAR that I'm faking Spina Bifida. xDD We have this ongoing thing that I'm just lazy...and that if I really felt like it, I'd just get up and walk. But no. I like having my own seat all the time, and of course, my own parking spot. ;D haha
[But I'm obviously kidding. >__> I definitely can't just 'get up and walk when I feel like it'.]

XD

I get the exact opposite reaction from shimi bakaXD

when I roll around in my wheelchair the little kid and baby who were crying their eyes off just stopped when they saw me.....I mean

there they are, crying their eyes off and they scream and rant like crazy and the mother's trying to do all she can but the baby doesn't stop...
and then after a second they contact my eyes, they just stop. BAM! Just like that.. and the baby's starring at me the whollllle time.
it was....very adorable XD

XD You should start a child minding business! I must be doing something wrong o.o Then again the kid was about 7 or 8, I would have thought she'd have known better o.O?

Ack! I don't like ghosts! They're about the only thing that scares me x.x

1. About a year after I started wearing my oxygen I was hanging out late at my school and this kindegarder (they're always the most inquisitive) came up to me and asked me why i had "that thing" up my nose.
I didn't get what he was talking about at first until he pointed at the tubing and repeated his question. Then I just explained what it was and that it helped me breath. He was satisfied and went off to play.

2. I was in 5th grade and still wore a back-brace for my scoliosis. This little kid at school, i think he was in kindegarden or 1st grade, ran into me and of course hit his head on my back brace. He just took a step back, looked at me and asked why i had a book up my shirt. Normaly I would find that funny, but the way he said it as he pointed at my chest just annoyed me.
Then for the next what ever minuets i was argueing with him that it wasn't a book it was a backbrace and tried explaining it to him. In the end the teacher just told me to lift up my shirt and show him. She understood where i was comeing from but reminded me unless i showed him he wouldn't be quiet.

3. It wasn't a question as much of a 'lack of action'.
I was in the hospital, the one place where you shouldn't be too suprised to see some strange things, right?
Well I was there for halo traction, and one of the days I was sitting on my bed watching TV when I looked at my doorway because I thought I saw something there.
Sure enough there was two adults and a little kid just standing there staring at me.

4. I just asked her if I could help them with anything and they looked at me startled like 'she speeks. amazing, she can speak' and walked away a bit embaraced looking. After a moment laughed.

Oh god. The back brace. Ew. ha. I had to wear one for a long time [Actually...up until the end of 5th grade.]...and when the doctor noticed it didn't help...I had surgery to fix my spine. THEN...I had to wear a BIGGER ONE. That felt lovely, lemme tell you. =w=

But anyway.

OMG. SHE SPEAKS. =O

xD; Kidding. <3 ... But...Kids just amuse me. They ask in such funny ways sometimes. Adults, however...seem to be complete idiots around people who are 'different'. >_> They need to learn a thing or two from their kids, I think.

-Done rambling-
