It seemed like any other normal evening in the forest. It was quiet and peaceful - though almost too quiet and peaceful. The wild animals of the forest of Mothare were not making their normal chattering noises, nor the noises that indicated that they were settling down for the evening. In fact, there was almost no wild critter to be found - they had sensed the presence of something ominous coming and had fled. Overhead, the sky gave no indication of where the sun was in the sky - it was drizzling with rain and utterly overcast. Only the vague residual light in the atmosphere gave indication that the night was on it's way.

Soon, however, there was a sharp lighting-blue flicker in the sky, and a loud thundering crash in the air as something hit the ground - HARD. Dirt and debris flew into the air, sent flying by the force of the impact, scattering throughout the area, sending a shower of it to the ground again. The 'object' that crash landed had made a rather deep indent into the ground.

The 'object' in question was actually a rather disorientated Kitsusagi, who lay in the hole that he had made, trying to regain his senses.

"What the hell just happened...?" He coughed slightly as he rose up from his muddy indent in the ground, blue eyes attempting to survey his surroundings. "Ugh," He shook his head and then began to brush the dirt off his coat, seeming annoyed about having to do such. "Damn it... this is really beginning to piss me off." He hissed as he glanced down at his right arm, flexing the paw-fingers for a moment as he contemplated something unknown. It was at this point he narrowed his eyes in frustration, mostly because of unfamiliarity. He couldn't remember anything - how he had gotten here, what he was doing here, and what had happened before...

He began to move away from his crash-landing site, looking at the area around him to take in his new surroundings.

"Hey, who knows," He said aloud to himself, reaching behind his back to make sure his still had his faithful sword, the Red Queen. "Maybe this'll be fun."

User Image The day had been threatening rain long before Morgan set out this morning to gather herbs, and it hadn't taken long after she got too far out for turning around empty-pawed to be unappealing before it finally started up. It was a drizzling, heavy sort of rain, though it wasn't so bad under all the trees and with her coat on. She didn't mind getting a bit wet for the sake of family.

Certain herbs were running low in the Lupin family's potion supplies, and just as importantly there were a few specific herbs that Endless liked for his home-made teas that he was out of. It had put him in a bit of a sour mood last time Morgan tagged along with Aurum to go see him, and that had upset Aurum. Morgan preferred the starry male when he was in a good mood, too, but Aurum seemed to have a particular soft spot for "Starry" ever since they were little kits and Morgan hated to see Aurum saddened by it. The red-head's bond with Aurum was one where she wanted to protect her little sister and make sure her world was a happy place to be. Silly, maybe, but there it was. Little Aurum meant a lot to her.

Not that Morgan was much bigger than Aurum, side by side, and Aurum's wings and long hair made her look larger than Morgan in all honesty. All the Elric kits were pretty short, really; Liliana wasn't that much bigger than a bobtail and Edward was noticably smaller than the average kitsusagi as well. And Morgan didn't go off quite as explosively as her father did when she got short comments; at least, not any more. She still didn't like it though.

The crash interrupted her pawing through some undergrowth and the black-furred kitsu lifted her red-haired head and flicked her ears toward the sound. More sensible people probably would have headed away. Not Morgan. She was an Elric, and curiosity and perserverance were strong traits in her family. As were being hard-headed and stubborn and adventurous. Well... Uncle Al was more sensible but if there was a chance someone was in trouble and needed help he'd have gone, too.

Morgan mostly just wanted to see what made that noise. If someone needed help and she could give it in the process, all the better.

The darkly colored little femme crept carefully through the tree-shadows and undergrowth in the direction of the crash sound, ears and nose going at 120% to guide her and warn her of anything dangerous hopefully before she ran into it. Adventurous she might be, but she wasn't entirely foolhardy. She knew there were dangerous things in the kitsu lands, especially since her father had some particular enemies that would love nothing more than a chance to harm her in order to get at him. She just didn't think it was worth letting either her own caution or her family's get in the way of living her life.

She found the crater first and whistled slightly at the impressive dent. And, not that she would have actually said anything, but she was just a little disappointed it wasn't still smoking or something. Finding a meteor would have been awesome. Finding paw prints leading away from the crater was almost as good, though. Once again, it was something a normal person probably would have headed in the opposite direction for, but she just had to know who could smack into the ground hard enough to make a mark like that and still walk away from it.

Besides, she was a kitsu, not a cat.

She turned and followed the pawprints at a quick march, intent on finding their owner. It would take several minutes before a glimpse of blue clothing and pale furred tails would reward her search, and the glint of light off of metal meant...

Freaking awesome sword!

He didn't seem to be injured... he didn't move like he was, anyway. Just a bit dirty and perhaps a bit lost? She didn't want to just assume, though. "Nice crater back there." She was still far enough away she could nab her wand out of her coat and apparate if something happened. Much as she hated apparating it was better than getting beaten to a bloody pulp, no matter how cool the guy's sword was. "You need any help...?"

Nero had actually heard the female approach from a distance, and didn't seem terribly fazed upon her arrival - that was, at least until he turned his head in her direction to glance at her. What the hell was she, anyway? He subtly reached back to grip at the hilt of his sword, at least until he realized she most probably wasn't a threat. It was at this point he realized that he had actually stopped walking. Nero rewarded the female with a strange look, brows raised, blue eyes confused for the faintest of a moment.

"Thanks," He said casually, giving her a shrug as he resumed his normal nonchalant air. "But it's going to be a problem for anyone who walks by here... but if they don't see the hole... that's their damn problem."

"Oh, by the way." He stopped again, raising a brow at her. "Where IS here? And just what are you supposed to be anyway?"

Morgan watched him move to grab his sword with a wary air, ready to do something, but as he lowered his paw again she relaxed a bit. Her eyes remained on the sword, however, with the wide-eyed and slightly hungry look a child would have given it. That was so cool. But it was a look but don't touch. Maybe if she knew him as well as some of her weapon-weilding family she might have asked if she could take a closer look at it, but things were as they were and she was at least that polite.

Golden-brown eyes blinked at him for a moment after his statement about the hole before she covered her mouth with a paw and stifled a laugh. "I know people ditzy enough to fall into it..." She snickered for a moment but paused rather suddenly at his questions, coughing slightly before straightening up.

"Here? Here is the Realm of the Kitsusagi. I'm a Kitsusagi." Wooooow. New arrival? Made sense with all those clothes and that sword and the questions. She was a better person for a newbie to run into than some but she'd never really talked to someone who'd just arrived before and so she wasn't entirely sure how to go about this.

"Um..." Cough. "Y'might wanna take a look at yourself." Since he didn't seem to have noticed yet... at least if his question was anything to go by.

Nero made a vaguely amused noise at Morgan's comment regarding the crater he had made. "Best not run into them, then. Otherwise they might encounter 'problems', if you know what I mean."

"Kitsu... what? Huh. How about that." He said aloud, more to himself after getting Morgan's reply. "I've no idea what that is or what you are, but it's gotta be better than some of the things I've run into before."

"Look at myself Why?" Nero narrowed his eyes slightly. Was she mocking him? He made a vaguely annoyed 'tch'ing sound and shrugged, glancing down at himself as if to humor her. It was at this point he became tense and angered. While his Devil Bringer arm looked more or less the same as it always had, but the rest of him...?

"What the hell?!" He angrily yelped in a sudden rage. "How the hell did this happen? Who did this to me!?" The young male was quick to unsheathe his sword at this point, gripping the handle tightly in his paws, ready to attack anything threatening that might come his way.

Morgan sat down and curled her tails around her paws rather daintily. "Kitsusagi are... critters like me. There's some different races of us, though, and some of them don't look so much like the rest, but that's not really important at the moment I guess..." She frowned, chewing on her lip a bit.

Hum. Might be a good thing she'd stayed a few paces away, huh? She supposed this sort of reaction might be normal, especially if they didn't realize what was going on at first... Hrm.

"Ah... nobody really knows why it happens, actually. Some people just show up here, pretty much like you did. Just... not always with the crater. There's quite a few like you where I live, if you'd wanna talk to 'em. My dad... well he's got a different life from before he came here, too, but he's one of the rare few that actually hatched and re-grew up here before he really started remembering things. And not everybody remembers their before kinda places either... um..."

She grimaced a bit, apologetic. "I'm not really good at explaining this... I was born here and all and all the other-world people I know got here before I was ever born so they're all used to being here... And I don't guess there's a whole lot I can tell you aside from what I already did." Her tails wagged, just a bit, hopefully. "But I can show you around and maybe introduce you to a couple of people who showed up like you did or something?... Oh! I have some jerky and a couple of cookies in my pockets if you want something to eat, too." Food usually seemed to help in her experience... "I'm Morgan, by the way... Morgan Elric."

Whatever Nero was thinking of before, it was all gone now, thanks to Morgan's explanation. The male merely stared at her for a few moments, trying to take it all in. When he realized he was staring, he made an annoyed 'tch' sound and sharply turned his head away, blue eyes glaring hard at the ground.

"I don't want any food," He growled slightly. "I don't want to be shown around either. I just want to know how I got here. It doesn't make any sense, damn it!" He placed the Red Queen away, returning it to it's place on his back, seeming calmer again.

"Was it some demon god's doing?" He pinned his ears back. "And what the hell am I supposed to do now?" He glanced down at the crater he had made upon arrival, then at his Devil Bringer arm, then up at the sky. There were no portals, no hints anywhere indicating what could have happened.

Nero gritted his teeth, frustrated.

"Damn it!"

Grumpy. Very grumpy. It made her want to giggle, honestly, because for some reason she found it downright cute... but that wouldn't be very respectful and she didn't exactly want to tick him off yet. Though, really, she wasn't sure if she was going to be able to avoid that. He was awfully grumpy...

"Different people show up different ways, from what I gather... your guess is better than mine." She shrugged her small shoulders and peered at Nero again, perhaps more curiously now. Morgan wished she could get a look at that sword. "As for what you're supposed to do..." She tried very hard to stifle the mischievous grin that threatened to break out on her face. "If you really don't want any food or directions I guess you're free to wander around lost and hungry for as long as you want."

She coughed a bit and lifted a paw to rub at her nose. She looked almost apologetic for the teasing comment, but not quite. She was trying to make a point. "But... really... the people like you I know have decided to just stay here. I've heard of some that are trying to find a way back... If any have succeeded they sure haven't come back to tell anybody so I don't know. I won't say it's impossible because I see things that most people would call impossible happen every day. Really, though, you're stuck making the best of it until something happens either way."

After a pause she added, "If I could do more to help I would. I know a lot more about this kinda thing than a lot of other kitsusagi you might run into but I've never really done this before..." And if she were to guess he was going to do some more yelling, some of it possibly directed at her. Sigh.
