All I have is a crappy Esteban amp that I got for 60 bucks, all it has is a master volume, an overdrive, and equalizers. So, the guys at the local guitar shop that I frequent are always telling me how awesome the micro spider amps are, every one of them say it's a great amp. Of course they're the last ones I should trust, it is a buisiness after all. They're the only amps they have that are less than $200, and that's about as much as I'm willing to put out for an amp as of now. So, I just want to know if it's any good or not. And if not, what amp would you recommend to me?

I wouldn't recommend anything by Line6. They aren't bad, but they aren't particularly good either.
Look on Musiciansfriend, or zzound for amps to compare prices. That music store sounds like a major rip off if you ask me though.

Ha, anything's better than the pile of junk I'm using right now. I probably won't even touch my electric guitar until I get a better amp, which is probably till Christmas. It kinda sucks, my piece of crap amp is making me discouraged in a way. I can play the stuff perfectly, but it comes out sounding like s**t.

Would you suggest anything, though?

I mostly play punk rock, metal and alternative. My budget is in the 150$-$200 range.
