The streets were covered in ice. In the middle of August. Sigith smirked to himself. He'd really out done himself this time. Striding along the chilled streets the self styled "Speaker of the Unquiet" headed towards the most lucrative deal of his career to date.
He began to climb the steps to the town hall reflecting with a wide internal grin, though a suitably concerned facade. The poor yokels needed someone to free their pathetic little town from the 'ice spirit' that came once every hundred years. Of course the 'spirit' had needed a little help making *that* legend come true, but Sigith was nothing if not a helpful soul.
He nearly danced in place, and missed the next step. Instead of landing securely on concrete it slipped on the iced over edge, sending the man tumbling to the ground. Though only two steps up, the man smacked the ground with a resounding thud and all thoughts of profit were swallowed by darkness.

Vaguely, the spirits working for the Powers that Be wondered why this guy got chosen as a guardian, as he seemed a bit like an a*****e. But who were they to judge? So, they got on with their duties of repairing his body and whisking him off to Feejhu's ship, while his soul went and bonded with that of a deity.
Soon after, the man was waking up, a silver chain with a brown relic attached hanging around his neck. Nearby was a green girl with six arms, wearing nothing but a black teddy-he'd apparently woken the teenaged female up.
(I call it fanservice. You may call it Dg's crazy)

An a** was perhaps to mild a description for Sigith. Groaning as he slowly woke up, the man opened his eyes. Blearily they focused on Feejhu. A thrill of panic swept through the man. After binding so many spirits for his own profit-- Had they finally stolen him away?
"W-where am I?" He asked, voice lacking it's normal oily confidence. It shook and quivered, much like the rest of the man. Doubt wracked through his body as every muffled bit of his conscience flooded back to remind him of his wrongs.

"You're on a ship." the girl replied somewhat grumpily. She'd been in the middle of a rather good dream, dammit! "And I have to tell you that you're gonna care for a baby." Honestly, Feejhu wanted to get the hell back to bed so she hoped to make this quick.

"Hell, no!" came the immediate reply. Quickly covering up his shaken moral compass (which somehow always pointed towards money) the man sat up, squinting through his head pounding. "I do not have the time nor interest to care for one of those squalling worms," Sigith spat out contemptuously.

"Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn." Feejhu quoted grumpily, rubbing her one eye. "You haven't got a choice in the matter. In a few days to a few weeks, that funky irremovable necklace you've got on will turn into one of those squalling brats. And you won't be able to do s**t about it....unless you abandon it or kill it. But if you do that, we'll hunt your a** down and kill you, so I wouldn't recommend those options."
