here's slightly better story I worte, but the mane shrictor is a guy and I'm still clueless on how the hell guys think so the dude(s) tends to act a bit like a chik)
Prolog
Never Has there been two like them, they will be the last, if their task is finishes. If not, once again they will be reborn, until what binds them to this life is gone.
he will serve and love her, helping her any way he can. this is his task, but it is just as great as hers.
These were were the words said right before I was born, so every one was sure I was The Prophecy. It was kept a secret between my parent, my brothers and sister were never told. I wasn't even told until a couple days ago on my birthday, I was now sixteen.
It was a good thing only part of my family knew about it. If any one at school found out I would be put in different classes in the Academe . Pooled in with the "Heros" bound to save the world. They just thought they were better then every one else. But most of them never fulfilled their prophecy. I didn't want to be classified with them.
But all the classes wouldn't help or prepare for the quest I'm about to set out on, even though I still didn't know what it means. or whats about to happen. but part of me know what to do and what will happen, my old part. My sole is old and wise but my mind is young and stupid. I listen to my sole but often my head tells me different, and it often when it dose. My sole really doesn't talk. It cant tell me to do this. I Get a felling or a since of what I should do.
Even though There will be lots of confusion, and uncertain. I still will try to full fill my purpose. and at lest I have that to keep me going. Because if you have no purpose in life, is worse then death. To just wander around purposelessly through the world. To have nothing to work for no since of accomplishment. Just waiting to die, or you just keep hanging on fore no reason. But that will never be me.
(might rewrite the prolog)

(I think I should have broke this in to more chapters) Chapter 1
"Bye Mom," I said giving her a hug being careful not to get her tears on my school uniform. witch was was a school jacket, a black button up shirt, with the school logo on it, and black dress paints. But this isn't what I was used to. This was only what we wore to out side the Academe. We almost always wore battle close in school, because all of the dueling we did. The had many charms and spells to help protect us, and the let us move with out getting tangled in a lose sleeve or pant leg.
"Oh, I wish your school was closer!" she said breaking in to a hole new wave of tears.
"I'll see you at Christmas, Mom," I said, giving her a quick kiss on the check, when I thought no one was looking.
"Oh, yes. But it seems so far away," she sad her face was wet with tears.
"Don't worry, I have to go I'll miss the ship."
"Love you dear. Oh how I wish your father was off of work right now." she said, her eyes still were full of tears
That make one of us. I thought to myself, "Love you mom." I said and headed off to the dock, my bags were following behind me, with the levitation charm I used."Christen, here I come," I said once I was far away from mom that she wouldn't hear me.
I kept walking down the long halls until I came to the ship dock, and looked for Ship A.S. 9, Academe ship 9. I spotted the huge sing that had the name of the ship on it, It didn't take long to find since it was always in the same place.
I looked up at the ship. It's huge white masses were down, dropping on the large polls that held the up. And the school logo, a swirl of mist hiding a girl with some thing shining in her hand, but no one knew why. And from most places on the dock you really couldn't see the sides of the great wooden ships, but from were I was standing you cloud see the blue charms on the wood sides used to make the ship fly.
I headed toward the ship, I was lost in thought about how grate this year was going to be, a forth year. Two more years and I could go to a great collage and then go and work for the Magicians' army. I barley relies I was at the ship.
I though my bags in the pile of suit cases and bags, and walked on the white ramp that lead up to the ship. Then I went to look for my compartment, The Academe a singed us all compartments. I wandered around looking for my compartment but then I felt really stupid after I released I didn't know my compartment number. I dug out my school letter and skimmed though it for my number.
Welcome back to a new school year.
We are glad to be starting a new school year at the Academe of the Young and Talented Magicians. This year we have set up new spells to keep boy and girls out of one another dorms. And ask that you please do not bring any products from joke shops, you will be given detention, thank, Your supplies list and compartment number are in close in this letter. We look froward to seeing at the academe.
Compartment number 53
Thank you,
Head Master Smith
I got my number and looked at the numbers, up on top of the compartments I was in the 40's I didn't have to go far. I walked up ships hall until I was at number 53.
I opened the door and walked in, one of the other student were all ready in their set, leaning agents the window. I had never seen her before she was wearing a short tight black shirt with black flood pants. With boots. Wait why was she wearing battle close? I thought to myself. Then I seen blood on the floor. running from her arm down her fingers! I looked down at the small pool on the floor. then It hit me she was wounded.
"Hay!" I said rushing over to her. "Wake up!" I said shaking her.
"That not going to do any thing," I scolded myself, I ran my hand, It started to glow blue a bit but it didn't help. The charm was supposed to heal it. "Why didn't I pay action in class," I said I scooped her up and started to run to the nurses room.
The hall felt like it was going to go on forever.. I finally came to the end of that hall and started to run down the next hall. I thought to myself. I ran down a few more hall ways. I looked down at her unconscious face. Wow she really pretty. I thought to me self. This is not the time, David, you stupid ideate. I thought to myself.
"Why dose it have to be so far away?" I thought aloud.
I finally came to the nurses office. I burst in not really bothering with door nob. "I found her! In my compartment. I tried to heal her, but I failed that class and.." I didn't get to finish my sentence.
"My god!" the nurse said in surprise, "Lay her on the bed, and let me look at it," she said.
"Is she going to be okay?" I asked after I lied her on the bed and move a side. I looked again to her face, I had a funny feeling start to swell up in my chest. Stop it, you have a girlfriend. I scolded myself my I still felt like I need to help her more in any why I could.
The nurse didn't even look up but she put her hand over the wound and it started to glow blue. "This is not good, she been cut with a cursed blade." she said.
"Aren't those out law?" I asked, but the nurse didn't answer. I was getting nervous, so far she had tried three different spells and and lest two charms.
Not good at all," she muttered to her self, "Hay boy give me you jacket," she ordered.
"Y-yes ma'am." I said struggling out of my school jacket. Once I had it off I gave it to her, "We need to stop the bleeding, she's lost allot of blood."
"I know a charm to help replace blood loss," I said nervously. but she ignored me and ripped the sleeve off of my jacket. and tied it around the girls arm. Then she moved her hand so it hovered over where the heart should be. Then begin to whisper words I couldn't catch.
"Great," the nurse said moving back to the arm, "She bleed through, it a good thing I made her more blood," she said pulling the bloody sleeve off of the girls arm and pick up the rest of my jacket and rapped it around her arm, "
Hold it here and don't let the pressure off, I'm going to tell the head master about this," she said and went off in a hurry.
"Umm, okay. I guise." I said even though she had gone out of ears reach. I sat there holding the jacket, that was no better then a rag now, on her arm. It felt like forever, after a while her face would twitch, like she was having a nightmare. Then I seen her necklace it looked so familiar
like a toy I had when I was little, deep in my heart it had a deep meaning but in my mind it was just a necklace. I kept looking down at it.
There was a small stone hanging from the black velvet strip that held it on to her neck. and when I looked closer to the dark blue stone, there was what looked like mist swirling around a shining object. Carved in to it. Then a voice broke my concentration.
"Who is she?" I hard a familiar voice say, I had spent a far amount of time in his office my first year. It was the head master, Carl Smith.
"I don't know, I've never seen her before," the nurse said nervously on the other side of the door.
"Who found her?" he ask, when he walked in the room the girls hands clinched in to fist like she was getting ready to fight, but when she clinched her fists the coat slipped and she started to bleed again.
"I did, Head Master," I said moving the coat so it stopped the bleeding again.
"David," he said, "Long time no see."
"Yeah," I agreed, I had spent my fair time with him in my first year "What about her?" I asked.
"Do you know her?" he asked, in his deep voice.
"No, shock my head, "I found her in my compartment," I said in cool voice, for some reason 'i felt a greater dislike for him then I normally did.
"You sure you look awfully worried," He said in a rather rude tone.
"I've never meet her in my life." I said. I couldn't stay here with him, no matter how much I didn't want to live her. Knowing that I might never see her again. "Can I go back to my compartment?" I asked, feeling a great gilt.
"I guise," he sighed
Then the nurse came over she had some white stuff in her hand. she took of the jacket the bleeding had slowed a little but it was still pretty bad. Then she started to wrap the white stuff around her arm.
"Is she going to be Okay?" I asked before I started to leave.
"She'll be fine," the nurse resurged me. I nodded my head in thanks and left the room, I started to head back to compartment 53.
I took the same halls back. When I got to the still empty compartment I relied some one had cleaned the blood. Weird. I thought to myself but never thought of it again. I use a cleaning spell to get the blood of my close.
It had to have been half an hour when, I heard talking out side, every one was boarding now. And soon after voices started to fill the the halls, the door opened and a group of three kid walked in, two guys and one girl. She had to be a first year. and the two boys were twins they were second years, I had meet them in the dorm before.
"Hay, David." one of the twins said.
"Umm. Your Mark. Right?" I asked.
"Nope, thats the other one." he said smelling,
"Hay, John," I said.
"Wow," the Mark said.
"You look really shook up, dude," John finished.
"I hate when you two do that," I said trying Ovid that conversation.
"What?" that asked at the same time.
"When you finish one another's sentences." I said.
"Yeah," Mark said smiling.
"But that doesn't explain why your all shook up." John said in a more serous tone.
"I'm not shook up," I said trying to sound convening.
"Your shaking," They both said at the same time, I then I released I was shaking.
"I ran in to the head master." I said quickly every one know how much I didn't like him.
"Thats strange." Mark said making a strange face as he lost himself in thought.
"Whats he doing on the ship? he never rides on the ships." John said. We all had forgotten the girl by now.
"You two aren't going to give up are you?" I asked.
"Of coarse not," both of them said.
"I found a girl in her she was bleeding, and I couldn't heal her. So I ran her to the nurse. She couldn't stop the bleeding ether, she had been cut with a cursed blade. So the nurse got the head master." I said.
"Wow, do you know who she was?" Mark asked,
"What, did she look like?" John asked.
"I don't know who she is." I said, then looked out the window.
"What about my question?" John asked.
"Yeah what about his question." Mark said in a mocking voice.
"She was a looker, wasn't she," they both said .
"I was to concerned trying to save her to look at her face," I lied, but I didn't feel like telling them in the first place. They were annoying.
"Oh, sure," Mark said
"You just want to keep her to yourself." John added.
"I have a girlfriend!" I said, no clue for the sudden surge to protect my reputation. It's not like I going to go out with her. I more or likely will never see her again. I felt said at that thought so I pushed it to the back of my mind. I started to ignore Mark and John.
"She's the one," I heard the girl say.
"What?" I said, I was shocked. Dose she know how I feel. Dose she know I'm The Prophecy.
"You know what I'm talking about. Keep in mind what is mint to be will find a way. And I should worn you, you should stay clear of you girlfriend. She more trouble then you know."
"What?" both twins asked.
"You one of them," I said,
"I am, a very strong one, for my age." she said, she was a prophecy teller. They could tell if you had a prophecy, some times they could help you understand them, but the most important thing they did was tell of the prophecies.
"Thank you, But I don't think I can stay away from Christen." I said.
"It wouldn't make much of a difference." she said with a small smile, "But it might make things easer."
"Thanks," I said, know I card for Christen to much to stay away from her.
"Good luck," she said.
I nodded my head in thanks.
"Hay, David what she talking about?" I heard on of the twins say, by now they had sat down and the red cushioned benches. so I couldn't tell them apart.
"Nothing," I said smiling to myself.
It had been awhile, The ship had been delayed. I figured it was because the girl I found and the head master was still on the ship. He never rode on the ships with the students. I wander how's she's doing. I thought to myself. I pushed the thought to the back of my head, but it still kept pushing it way back to the front.
"Hay, ya' cutie," Mark called to the girl. I decided to listen to the conversation to keep my mind off the girl.
"Whats your name?" John asked.
"Rose," She said gently, in a mystical voice.
"Hay," Mark said.
"do you want to go on a date with me?" both twins asked.
"I asked first!" they both said to one another.
"I'm sorry, But I do not wish to go on a date with ether on of you."
"What?" mark asked.
"Why not?" both twins asked.
"Because, I do not wish to," she said, "I have far to much to worry about as is, and some thing that seems very intestine to investigate,"
"I hope you don't mean me, I don't want to drag any one in to this," I said shocked. but she only smiled and looked down.
"What a bummer," Mark said.
"Yeah," his brother agreed.
"So what with all the code talk any ways?" Mark asked.
"It not important," I said.
"Yes it is," John said.
"You just wont tell us," The other twin said in a slightly hurt voice.
"Some things are mint to be kept secretes and the things that need to be know will find a way to show the truth," Rose said. I nodded in thanks to her.
"What that mean?" Marked asked with utter confusion on his face.
"You'll figured it out in do time," she said.
"What taking so long?" on of the twins asked.
"We should be leaving soon I said, then the ship jerked and slowly started to move.
"'Bout time." John said.
"I know," His brother agreed.
We sat on the ship, only Mark and John were talking, Rose would close her eyes every now and then for a while then open then. I fingered that she was having visions, or some thing of that sort. It was almost lunch time when we left, but the lunch lady never came around to pass out lunch, Witch displeased Mark and John.
Then there was a knock on the door.
"Finally!" Both the Twins said with release.
"Come in," I said. but when the door opened it wasn't the lunch lady but the nurse.
"David, can I please talk to you for a minute?" she asked.
"Sure," I said getting up, then I walked out after her.
"The head master told me not to tell you, I really don't know why, but I'm going to tell you any ways."
"Okay," I said, waiting for the rest, and a feeling of desperation was starting to swell up in my chest. She has to be all right. I thought to myself.
"The girl is going to be fine," she said, "I thought since you looked so worried I would tell you. To ease your mind." she said.
I let out a sigh of relief, "Thanks," I said.
"Yeah," she said and turned around a headed back to her office, and I went back to the compartment.
"What did she want?" one of the twins asked.
"Nothing," I said.
"Honestly, your no fun," Mark said with disappointment in his voice.
"I really don't care," I snapped back.
"Looks like some one's grumpy," John teased.
"What time is it?" I asked.
"Umm... It's almost six," One on the twins said, I didn't see who.
"Thanks," I mumbled, and sat down again. Then after a few minutes the was another knock on the door.
"Who is it?" One of the twins called, both there voices sounded so alike you couldn't tel there voices apart better then their bodies.
"It supper," I heard an old voice say from the other side of the door, "What do you want?"
"The ships serving suppers now?" one of the twins say.
"It only because we left so late, Hurry up before I move on," she said. I got up and opened the door. Reveling a trolley with plates of food on it. There was a lot of different types of food. Looking down at it made me relies how hunger I was.
"I'll take a meat biscuit," I said.
"I'll take some to," rose said.
"I'll have some hash," Mark said.
"Me to," john said.
"Here you go," the old lady said, handing out the food, "When your done put the plates out side your door, Some one will come a gather them up." she said and left, closing the door.
"We're going to arrive late," I sighed, I wanted to see Christen today despite what Rose had said. At lest Phil would be in the dorm. But then the girl came back to my mind, and I tried to push it back but it stuck in my head.
"Rose, your a first year, right?" I asked trying to start a conversation to keep my mind off the girl.
"Yes, I am." she said.
"Cool," I said, "Umm... Good luck with your first school year,"
"Thank you," she said giving a slight nod, but I couldn't think of any thing else to talk about and Rose didn't seem to talk allot, so I gave up on trying to talk to her. But the girl kept coming to my mind. So I started to work out magic problems in my head. Like what spell to use to keep bugs off of you, or how to remove different curses. But soon I fell asleep and my dreams were filled with her.
I felt Rose shake me gently, It was dark in the stall. Mark and John were asleep, "I am very interested in your prophecy, it feels much different then any one else's, all most like you are one not just mint to full fill one. But what I saw when I first seen you. Your eyes were wide with wander. I seen that look once before, So I knew you found her, even though I had never laid eyes on her."
"Your Wise for your age," I said.
"I have to be," she said solemnly, "But I must warn you, it is about to start, Every thing will start to change, a storm is coming, sides will be chosen and live and friends will be lost, Nothing will be as it was before." she said, I released that this must be what she had seen when she closed her eyes earlier.
"Thank you," I said. but I didn't want any thing to change, I was going to keep trying to live like nothing was going to happen. I leaned my head and closed my eyes to try to get some more sleep but right as I was just starting to doze when the ship came to a halt.
"Are we there?" One of the twins asked.
"Yeah, I think so," I said then the lights came on..
"Bout time," we mist every thing.
"At lest we have tomorrow to get settled in before classes start," I said.
"Yeah your right," John said getting up.
I waited till every one was out of the compartment, then I sighed and got up. The halls we all most empty now, only the kids who were still half a sleep were left, I kept thinking of what Rose said. Then I decided to go talk to Phil.
I Walked of the ship giving it one last look, I wouldn't see it until Christmas brake. I looked over it huge mass and and the side that glowed slightly from the spells and charms used to hold it in the air. Then Headed toward the dorm.
I walked down the halls not paying action to the white halls pass by. I got to the dorm where there was a large area with a fire place, a couch, chairs and desks for doing school work at, but I ignored the room, and the first year that set out to explore it before the headed up the small staircase and went to bed.
I walked through the room and up the stairs to the beds. I walked around looking in each bed, looking for Phil, It didn't take long, he was on the bottom bunk of a bed, and he had saved me the top bunk, because it had all my stuff on it, he must have changed things around. We had a order we were giving to sleep, but every one all ways changed it, so they were next to there friends.
"Phil," I said in a harsh whisper, "Wake up,"
"Five more minutes," he said and moved his foot.
"Phil, come on wake up," I whispered.
"What do you want?" he asked, "Oh it's you, did you have to wake me up, you would have seen me in the morning." He said in a grumpy voice, then he smiled and said "Oh I see you mist me so much you couldn't wait to see me."
"Ha ha. Very funny. I have some thing I really would like to talk about." I said.
"You sound like a chick," he said the changed his voice, "Let's talk Davy-poo,"
"Stop that," I said, "It no joke,"
"Fine, what is it." he said.
"Lets go some where a little more privet," I said then quickly added," No jokes."
"Fine let's go," he said getting out of bed, "We can talk out on the court, no one will be there at this time of night, any way, why was your ship so late?"
"I'll tell you latter, it has to do with what I need to talk about." I said. We walked out the lunge room, to the dulling court.
"What so important?" Phil asked.
"I really don't know where to start," I said.
"Just start at the beginning," he said back, trying to lighten the mode but he voice serous. I think he finally released that this was far from a joke.
I sighed the began with the prophecy, "Never Has there been two like them, they will be the last, if their task is finishes. If not, once again they will be reborn, until what binds them to this life is gone. he will serve and love her, helping her any way he can. this is his task, but it is just as great as hers." I finished waiting for Phil to say some thing.
"Sounds like a prophecy," he said sounding slightly confused.
"It is," I said, "It's mine."
"What?" he said token back,, "Why didn't you tell me before?" he asked I could hear hurt in he voice.
"I didn't know until a couple days ago myself." I said, "But I'm not the only one that this prophecy talks about, there's one more. A girl." I said and waited for Phil to say some thing, but he was silent so I went on, "I think I met her, Phil. If I met her Things will have to end with Christen. and I don't think I could take that. And a Teller I just met said that a storm was coming, When I found her on the train, is the beginning, a storm is coming."
"David," I heard him say but then he was quit for a while "Your like my brother, but you should tell Christen, she need to know,"
"No!" I said loudly, "No, we can't tell her, and I more or likely will never see the girl again any ways," I said feeling like I just lost my best friend.
"Okay, but what else did the Teller say?" Phil asked.
"It is about to start, Every thing will start to change, a storm is coming, sides will be chosen and live and friends will be lost, Nothing will be as it was before." I told him Rose's word, that still haunted me, but I wasn't going to tell him any thing else she had said. "That's what she said,"
"You should listen to the Teller, it sounds serous." Phil said.
"But I don't want any thing to change." I said in all most whisper.
"I don't ether," David said.
"Will there's nothing I can do until more of the mystery in revealed," I said in a slalom voice, I felt torn in side, part of me wanted to stay like this, content but not really the happiest I cloud be, and then the other part pulling me to find out what could be, to find that girl and to find out more about this "task" that we had to do.
"As long as you don't turn to the side of evil, I'm fine with it," Phil said lightly.
"The side of evil?" I asked confused.
"Yeah, you know the group that all have prophecies, and think that they're all that," he said joking.
"Don't worry. I won't," I said with a small laugh.
"Thats good," he said and turned to go back to the dorm, but I just stood there, "Are you coming?" he asked.
"Give me a while, I still have a lot o my mind." I said.
"You know what I just released?" he said stopping.
"What?" I asked.
"You never told me why your ship was late," he said turning to face me.
"The girl," I said, "I found her, she had been cut with a cursed blade, So the nurse got the head master, he must have tella ported, and he was on the ship for quit a while," I said.
"Okay, will I'm heading to bed, don't be to late." he said, "I don't want you waking me up," he finished and headed back to the dorm. I stood the for a while, just thinking. Then I decided

Chapter 2
When I woke up in the morning the sun was up, and so was every one else. I have to find Christen. I thought to my self. Then I rolled out of bed half falling. And through off my P.J. and grabbed my pants and started to put them on doing a funny hope this trying to pull them up. after I got them up I grabbed my plane white under shirt and started to pull it over my head.
"Your in a hurry," said Pale, a boy in my charm class.
"I need to find Christen, I said, finishing pulling my shirt over my head and grabbed my button up shirt and started to button it.
"Hold on lover boy, Just so you know. You really should be careful, She live only like a block from my house, and she's been acting weird lately." he said.
"Thanks, Pale, but I don't think any thing can keep me from her," I said hopping as I put on my socks. Then I through on my shoes and headedshrugged it off and went to the Food hall to eat and see if Christen was there.
When I got to the Food Hall I looked for Christen, sure enough I seen her golden wavy hair glistening in the sun the shine through the windows in the ruff of the hall.
"Christen!" I called and waved my hand.
"David?" I herd her call, I walked up to her table and sat down, "Jeez you grow," She said.
"So did you," I replied.
"How was your summer?" she asked.
"Okay, I had a fight with my father so he staid at work most of the summer after that, I felt bad though. It really upset my mom." I said to her, "How 'bout your's?"
"It was good," she said but didn't go in to detail. Weird she always explains every thing like ten times.
"Good," I said, "I'm going to go get my tray," I said.
"I'll be waiting," she said as I was getting up to get my food.
I walked up to the buffet to get my food, when I got there I looked over the verity of food. There was pancakes, waffles, sausages, and orange juice. I grabbed some pancakes and some sausages, with a glass of orange juice. Then walked back to were Christen was setting, but when I got there she was gone.
"Hay Tosh, were did she go?" I asked the girl that had been setting by her before she left.
"She said she had some thing she needed to do and to tell you sorry for telling you she would wait," Tosh said and went back to chatting with her other friends.
"I'll just go and set next to some of the guys," I said, even though no one was listening, but all most every one had all ready ate, so I just sat by myself and ate my breakfast.
"I thought I would find you in here," I herd Phil's voice say.
"Yeah, You know you could have woke me up," I said getting ready to take a drink of my orange juice.
"Yeah, I could have, but my little Davie-poo looked so tired I thought I would let him sleep," he said, making his voice sound girlish around Davie-poo.
"Don't call me that," I said putting my glass down before I could get a drink.
"Any way, I was up early then you," he said.
"Doing what?" I asked, slightly interested in why, Phil always slept in.
"Oh is a surprise you'll find out soon," he said, then I reached down to pick up my orange juice, sensing it was safe that Phil wouldn't try any thing stupid, I started to take a drink.
"I asked Christen on a date and she said yes," Phil said. "What!" I said, spitting juice every were, then Phil started to laugh.
"You should have seen your face, ah that was priceless," he said still laughing.
"Your not funny," I said and began to whip up the orange juice.
"I'm not but your face is," he said finally done laughing.
"There's no surprise is there?" I said.
"No there is one," he said with a huge smile.
"Any way," I said, "Want to hit town to day?" I asked.
"Sure, one last day of fun before we're all shove in to small stuffy rooms to learn boring stuff," he said.
"It's not that bad, and any way, we spend a lot of time dueling, and you just afraid I going to beat you again," I said, trying not to think about why Christen had left even though she said she would stay.
"It's not you I worried about, have you seen some of the kid that came back, Paul was almost twice his size!" Phil said.
"Just because there bigger doesn't mean that there any tougher then they were last year," I explained.
"Yeah, I guise your right, What time are we going in to town?," he asked stretching his right arm behind his head.
"Right after lunch," I told him and then got up to get read of my tray, "I have to fined Christen now," I said after I stood up.
"You didn't find her yet?" he asked.
"I did," I said, "But she said she would wait for me but when I got back she was gone."
"Bummer," Phil said, "That doesn't sound like her though," Phil said.
"I heard some one say she was acting weird, but I'm sure she'll snap out of it," I said, trying to hide the doubt in my voice.
"Well you better get on your way lover boy," he said and stood up.
"Where are you goin'?" I asked.
"To see if we got any transfers, and if we did I need to get the cute ones before any one else," he said grinning.
"Good luck," I said and headed toward the small window we're supposed to put our trays in. Then after I had got read of my tray I went to look for Christen, But I couldn't find her any were, and it was noon now, I had to meet up with Phil.
"There you are lover boy," I heard Phil call from behind me.
"Hay, do you want to leave now and pick something up to eat when we get there?" I asked, in a cheerful tone.
"Sure, let get going," He said, started to walk forward.
"Ahh, Phil?" I asked.
"Yeah?" he said looking back at me over his shoulder.
"Dose Christen seem to be acting weird?" I asked, afraid of the answer.
"No clue, I haven't seen her. But every one else says she be acting strange to. Any way are you coming?" he said and started to walk froward again.
"Yeah," I sighed, I'll have to talk to her when I get back. I thought to myself and started to follow Phil.
We walked out the front gate, And started down the road. Phil tried to start a couple conversations, but I did really feel like talking right now. So we walked in silence until we got to the town.
"What should we do first?" Phil asked but I didn't here him, "Okay dude, get over it. Christen might have changed over the summer, or she could be going through a stage,. Who knows but for the love of creation stop moping!"
"Fine," I said, "Let see if we can sneak in to Bobo's," I said, knowing Phil would like that idea even though I didn't feel like it.
"Bobo's Bar?" he asked looking at me.
"Yeah," I said.
"That was tone down last year, don't you remember?" he asked.
"Oh, yeah. I for got," I said, it was part true. I was still shocked at being blowing off by Christen that it slipped my mind.
"Dim wit," He said.
"Let's get some thing to eat," I said and walked on down the street to an old restaurant that was popular. "Let's eat here," I said.
"Okey dokey," Phil said and headed for the door of the restaurant, I stood there for a short moment and then headed after Phil.
When were we in side there we no tables left. They fill with first years, gossiping girls and buddies out for the last day of vacation. Catching up or making friends before class started up once again.
"We'll have to set at the bar." Phil said heading to the only two places in the restaurant.
"How can I help you," I heard a cheerful voice say.
"I would like roast best sandwich," Phil said, "A glass of lemonade, and a date witch you." Then I looked up and seen the waitress. She was really pretty. Her hair was pulled up but a a few peace fell in her heart shaped face.
"I'll get of at Three," she said smiling even brighter, "And how 'bout you?" she asked turning to me.
"Umm... I'll take the same thing, but I would like a glass of water instead of lemonade." I said.
"Okay, I'll be back with you food and drinks." She said turning around to prepare the food.
"How did you do that?" I asked.
"Do what," Phil said, smiling sheepishly.
"She must have been being hit on all day, Why did she say yes to you?" I asked.
"Because, She my girlfriend." He said smiling, "Asked her out yesterday day when I went to see the new transfers I seen her. The only one to. I was lucky I got to her first."
"I thought you did that this morning," I said.
"I went to see her," he said smiling.
"You knew her before yesterday, didn't you." I said.
"Yeah, she's my sisters best friend," he said, "I've liked her for a while. So when I found out she was going to the Academe this year, I started to help her allot over the summer. And I asked her out yesterday when her ship got here."
"Pretty good catch," I said, glade that talking to Phil was keping my mind of of Christen and the girl.
"I pretty good at fishing," he said acting like like he had a real in his hands. but quikly put them down when his girlfriend turned around. "Her you go," she said and handed us our food, then our drinks.
"Aren't you going to introduce us?" She asked.
"Yeah, sooner or later," he said smiling. She just rolled her eyes.
"Pretty please will you introduce us," she said making her brown eyes in to puppy eyes. I seen fill fighting not look in to them but his head turned and he looked straight in to her eyes.
"This is David," he said pointing to me, but his eyes were stuck on her, "David this is Emma."
"Nice to meet you," I said, "And don't tame him to much." I said jokenly.
"No worries, I'll keep him on a lose leach," she smiled back.
"Thanks," I said.
"I'll see you when I get of," She said and bounced in to the ketion.
"She seems nice," I said.
"She not a tame as you think she is," he said.
"More or likely," I said and went back to my food, but then my mind was fill with the girl and Christen.
*** "I'm board. What are we going to do now." Phil said, I felt bad because I hadn't really been myself today, my mind was to busy trying to ignore the girl and think of a reason Christen would blow me off.
"You know you don't have to stay with me, I'm no fun right now," I said.
"Yeah, your still moping in self pity."
"I no pitting myself, I just have allot on my mind." I said.
"I'll give you time to think then," Phil said, "And Emma gets of soon." when he said this I felt even more guilty Emma didn't get of for another hour and a half.
"I'll see you later," I said.
"Yeah, see ya'" he said started to walk to the restaurant.
"I'm the worst," I said, after Phil was out of site. I was the one who invited him to town and I'm just being annoying. I let out a sigh and got up to go for a walk.
"I heard you went to town," I herd a voice say.
"Christen!" I said turning around.
"Thats me," She said, forcing a smile.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"Oh, you noticed," she said looking down.
"I think every body has," I said looking down and her, Then I gathered her up in my arms, "whats wrong," I asked again but in a whisper this time.
"This summer, I ran in a Teller," she said. after she said this Rose's word came rushing back into my head, but I pushed them away, "I never knew, but I have a prophecy to full fill." she said, I felt my face twitch, and was glad Christen couldn't see it.
"What was it?" I asked, half filled with hope and half fill with dread.
"I ran in to a little girl, I didn't know her name but she looked lost. Then she walked up to me, and said, The two have come, You know one, the other is soon to be meat. You will stand on the opposite side of them. You will disagree with the two. But you must keep the other alive to use what she protects but the one you know you may defeat." I felt shocked this is what Rose meant if I was smart rite now I would run away. but part of me just made me hug tighter to keep from running away.
"Don't worry," I whispered, now I knew it was eve more important to keep my prophecy a secret. Then I loosed my grip on her and moved my hands to her face and drew it closer to mine and started to kiss her. I felt her lips start to move under mine. But I kept feeling guilty. This isn't fair to her. I thought.
I slowly started to move my head back, "Lets get back," I said, and slipped my hand in to hers. and started to head back to the Academe.

Chapter 3
"Hay, lover boy!" I heard Phil say, "Get up."
"Five more minutes," I mound I had spent half the night trying to comfort Christen and it took a lot of effort not to tell her she was supposed to kill me, or not to run away. And when I did sleep I dreamed of Rose's word over and over again.
"Class starts in fifteen minutes, You'll be lucky if you get breakfast. Now up." I heard his words then I felt myself being rolled out of bed and the next thing I knew I was on the floor with a loud thump.
"Fine," I said, and stood up, "Way didn't you wake me up earlier?"
"I tried, you were out man." He said.
"Oh," I said, throwing off my P.J. pants and starting to pull up my tight black paints.
"What did you do last night any way?" I heard him ask. and I could hear the curiosity rising in his voice.
"Trying to get Christen to stop crying," I said, starting to yon.
"Awe, My Davie-poo has feelings, dude you suck. Did you even try anything?" he asked I could hear disappointment in his voice.
"Shut up,," I said throwing off my sleeping shirt.
"Oh come, you didn't even kiss," he said provokingly.
"I'll talk to you later, and just to warn you your going to be disappointed. It not what you think I'm going to talk about," I said, pulling my tight black tank top over my head and putting on my belt the help my potions and powders.
"See you in class," He said as I started to walk out to get something to eat quickly.
I walked in the food hall, but the cook had just put away the food, So I headed to class. And half paid attention to the lecture about the rules and safety tips. I just wanted to do some thing to get my mind off of every thing that was happening. Off of Christen, the girl, and most of all Rose's words, that still echoed in my head. and setting here listening to a boring lecture I had since my first year wasn't helping.
"David!" I heard a sharp whisper from behind me.
"What?" I asked, not looking behind me to see who was saying my name.
"Pay attention, were going to get quizzed," I heard the voice warn. "I know same as last four years," I said this time turning around to see who was talking.
"Your a fourth year?" said a small boy that the voice belonged to.
"Your a first year aren't you?" I said.
"Yeah," the boy said back.
"How do you know my name?" I asked.
"Your friend, Phil I think, switch beds with me so you two would bunk together, and I could bunk with my older brother." the boy explained.
"Oh," I said and turned back around, and pretended to pay attention. Then after another half hour passed we took a quick quiz on the rules and safety precautions.
"How you do?" I asked the boy behind me.
"I got all of them right!" he exclaimed and ran off to some where. I smiled and turned around to see if I could find Phil or one of my other friends to hang out with before dueling started.
"Hay! David over here," I herd Aaron call from some where in front of me, but it was hard to see threw the crowed room. So I followed his voice.
"How ya' doing?" he asked.
"Good," I said, and then seen Jacob and Phil walking up together.
"Sup?" I asked both of them.
"Nothin' much," Jacob said and started to lean on the wall.
"So how was every ones summer?" Aaron asked.
"Okay," I answered back.
"Mine was fine," Jacob said.
"How 'bout you Phil," asked Aaron
"It was good," He said, I could see his eyes were burning with frustration. He was dieing to find out what I had to tell him.
"You seem distracted," Jacob said.
"I'm fine," he said.
"Has any one else released that there's no girl in here?" I asked, surprised that there where only males in the room.
"Your right," Jacob said, moving of the wall.
"Weird," I said.
"Ah, Davie-poo's in love," I heard Phil say in a funny voice.
"Shut up," I said I had to much to worry about with out Phil trying to be funny.
"You don't have to be so defensive," he smiled back.
"Shut up, or else I wont tell you," I said, then I remembered every one was still around me.
"Tell him what?" Aaron asked.
"Nothing," I said, "How was your summer?" I asked try to change the subject.
"Your hiding some thing," Jacob said.
"May be it need to be that way," I sad, being careful not to look in any one's
"May be, or may be we can help," I heard Jacob say.
"I don't think so," I said solemnly," This is some thing I need to do on my own."
"Attention class," I heard the teacher call, "You may go eat your lunch, then were going to began dueling."
"I'm starveling," I said, and I was. "I didn't eat any thing for breakfast."
"Let's go eat," Phil said, and started to head for the door with the rest of us close at his heals.
"What's for lunch to day?" Aaron asked.
"No clue," I said.
"It's Mystery," I heard one of the twins say from behind us.
"Ah, thanks" Aaron said, turning to face them.
"No Problem," both said at the same time.
"So, are you going to tell us," One of the twins asked.
"Tell you what?" I said a turned to face them. "What you and Rose were talking about the other day." Mark said.
"No clue what your talkin' about." I said trying to act confused.
"Yes you do," John said.
"No I don't," I said and turned around to go get my lunch.
"What are the talking about?" I heard Aaron ask.
"Nothing," I said gritting my teeth and walked on before any one could stop me.
I heard surprised mummers behind me as I walked on into the lunch line. I didn't even pay attention to what I was grabbing for lunch, I was to irritated to care right now. Why did every one have to be so noisy? I thought to myself as I walked to the table. Not caring where I sat I just sat at the closest table and began to eat with out thinking.
"You know those two are worried about you," I heard Phil say from behind me.
"Witch ones?" I asked.
"Aaron and Jake," he said.
"It would have been fine if Mark and John weren't so snooping." I said though my teeth.
"Thats just the way they are," he said.
"Have you ate?" I asked.
"Yeah," he said.
"Let's go then." I said getting up leaving my tray behind me, even though I knew I should have taken care of it, but I wasn't caring right now.
"Uh, David? Shouldn't you take care of your tray?" Phil asked.
"It'll be fine," I said heading out of the room.
"David!" I heard Phil say and run up beside me to catch up, "Why are you acting so weird?"
I didn't answer him but just kept walking until we we reach a stair case that the students weren't allude to use. Then started to walk up them until I was about half way up them.
"Aren't you coming?" I asked.
"We're not supposed to go up there," he said in an uneasy voice.
"No one will be able to ease drop on us up here, and we're not going all the way up just to right here," I said.
"If you get us in trouble, I swear I'll," he didn't have time to finish he sentence before I interrupted him.
"Just get up here," I said, "We don't have much time."
"Fine," he said and started to climb the stares, "What could have changed so much from yesterday that your risking getting us in trouble?"
"It's Christen, Rose was right I should stay away from her," I said starring blankly past Phil.
"What?" he asked,I wasn't sure if my words weren't coming out like I planed or Phil wasn't understanding. So I went on.
"She's not the only one who found out this summer that they has a prophecy," I said.
"David, What are you saying?" I heard Phil say but I couldn't make you the words so I just kept on going.
"She has to kill the us," I said.
"David!" I heard Phil say, then every thing started to go bluer and then in a moment every thing was clear again. But I wasn't at the stair case where Phil and I had been talking. I was in a narrow dim lit hall way. I looked around a bit at the red walls. There was nothing on them. After standing there for a few minutes I started to walk down it.
"Where am I?" I thought aloud. Then I felt like some thing was calling me further down the hall, so I walked until I came to the end of the hall where it split in to two different hall ways.
"Witch way do I go?" I asked hoping to fill some thing again, but I didn't fell any thing, so I stood there then with out thinking went right and walked down the hall until I came to a candle lit room with a man dressed in a black leather armer setting cross lagged on the floor with his back facing me. I didn't know what to do or who this man was so I just stood in the doorway waiting to find out what would happen.
"I've waited for a long time for you," he said.
"Who are you?" I asked stepping in to the room.
"I am you," he answered, he must have seen the confusion on my face because he went on, "I am your past and future self."
"That still doesn't make much since," I said looking at him, "Dose that mean I'm you?"
"No you are not yet me," he said. "If your me, then how come I'm not you?" I asked.
He smiled then answered "Because you must become me, you past and future self is the same but right now you are not ether one of them."
"Your just confusing me," I said walking further into the room. Now I could see his face he looked like me, only older, in his late twenties or early thirties, and a hole lot more muscle tone then me. But other then that we had the same jet black hair, light skin tone, every thing was the same with our looks.
"You'll understand one day, but right now I must ask why you came to see me." he said.
"See you?" I asked.
"You came to me, is some thing bothering you?" he asked.
"If your me shouldn't you know?" I asked, as I sat next to him.
"I am you, yes I know what's wrong but you need to talk about it." He said, I could hear something in his voice that was almost fatherly, trying to do what best for his son.
"Every thing is going wrong," I sighed, and explained every thing that had happened in the past few days.
"Rose is right," He said.
"I know she's right, but I've been going out with Christen since we were second years." I said, "I love her."
"Do you, or do you think you do?" he asked.
"That doesn't make much since ether," I sighed, My future-past self wasn't making much since.
"Don't worry it will someday," he said.
"But when is that day?" I asked kind of crossly.
"Not for awhile, none of this will make since until you have completed you task, then she and us will be free."
"Your not helping I said," I said in fruition he was just confusing me more.
"I am you just don't know it yet, if you listen to me then every thing will be easer." he said
"I can't Christen needs me right now." I said.
"She supposed to kill her and might as well kill you off to, then we'll be trapped until we have the right moment again." he said in an upset voice.
"Trapped?" I asked.
"Once again in time you'll find out," he said, I was going to say some thing back but I bit my tongue. "See you all ready are learning." he said and smiled, "Every day you learn it will bring you closer to the answers you want."
"Do you think I can do it? Do you think I can do this task, this prophesy?" I asked
"I know you can, but you must work hard." He said looking me in the eye.Wow he's eyes are, there's now word to describe the feeling I get from looking in his eyes. Is this what my eyes look like I thought to myself then answered.
"I hope I can." I sighed.
"Don't worry young one," he said and after that we talked for what seemed like hours, it was like talking to a father that cared or a good friend, better then Phil. But finally it started to come to an end.
"You must go back now," he said.
"But I don't want to go back," I said.
"You must, and when you really need me I'll be here. Where you can see me when ever you need me," he promised.
"How do I come back," I asked with worry, I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get back.
"The same why you came, turned to the right, if you don't want to come to me turn left. Now go, just walk out the door way and you'll find yourself back in your world."
"Good-by," I said bowing my head quickly and steeping out of the dark door way in to a bright room.
