For my birthday which is coming up.. I'm getting a clarinet, a better one lol. Its gonna be wooden (>.<) and its gonna be expensive. But its a gift.. I got asked if I wanted a plastic or wooden. I got referred to a wooden.. Do you think that was a good choice? like whats your opinion on both types. Cause I want a good clarinet. Im tired of this rent to own deal.

I've heard that wooden clarinets have a really nice sound, but don't use it for marching band, definitely. It would be bad in the weather and stuff. I guess you should just make sure you clean it often, so it doesn't get messed up.

I wish I could get a new saxophone for my birthday...or any instrument. That would be awesome.

Naturally I'd suggest getting the wooden clarinet.

You just have to take good care of wooden instruments.

Wooden defiantely has a better sound, though if you're doing marching band and only have one instrument, I'd suggest not using a wooden one for marching. It'd be so bad for the instrument.
