i mean ive critiqued 2 series so far today, and let me tell you, it feels good to let out all this steam talking about books, i mean i think i would go blooming crazy if i just kept it all in. I mean my head would probably burst and you'd hear the whisling sound a ta pot makes when the tea is ready......
anyways where was I??? Oh yes the Uglies Series!!!!!!
Its a good series, four books in all UGLIES, PRETTIES, SPECIALS, AND EXTRAS.
ok then lets get started! th xseries takes place in the distant future, where evryone get a special surgery to make them "super model beautlful", but at the same time they do something to you
They add a small chip to your brain and take away your selfcontrol!
what kinf of EFFING FRUITLOOPs go around messing with peoples braisnand the way they think? huh? HUH??????
well the main character, Tally Youngblood, is about to get her surgery when she finds out what really happens, now she escapes the city to live with other run aways out side the city...son she is captured and turned 'pretty" in body body and mind if you know what i mean (the effing brain chip)
so soon her "boyfriend" finds her and comes to rescue her, then thigs get worse. They find a cure, but before that happes, Talley get "surgery" again and made in to a SPECIAL *third book cough cough* now shes in this secret society bent on keepin gthe preities "pretty minded" from the shadows..but soon once again Tally gets free and helps her friends escape..and then helps save the world from the brain messing chip...YAY EVERYONES FREE
finally the fourth book, EXTRAS, this one take place a few years after the original Series, yes Tally Youngblood is still in it, but she is not the main character. Now the world is inder the rule of popularity (wow sound like ou word) where only the most beautifulest rule, plus now they have freaky surgery, i mean OMG who wants a lizard tail and clocks inside their eye balls? i mean COME ON!!!!!!
so now that the people are free frm the mind chip, they are starting to expand their cities, which causes havoc....sooon freaks start to show up, creating wierd machines, for some "evil" purpose......
Now Aya Fuse, the main character, post this story all over the world in hopse to stop them.
Now she is one of the most popular peopkle in the city and the freaks are after her.......
short story, after her friends rescue her, they find out thr freaks were making the machins to launch stuff into spce...
apparently they were making space colonies, for people to live on since the earth was getting overpopulated, and they looked like freaks so they could better live in space, WIERDOS.....
well tts all i have to say, its a good series, and if you think you might like it, go to the nearest boock store, reasal shope, or library and pick it up!!!!!
