I liked the first one the best, but maybe that was because i never really had time to sit down and enjoy the others like i did with the first...

Ah, I love that series. Read it back in 4th grade, so I don't really remember the titles, but I think my favorite was the first one. I loved when Anne accidently gave Diana alcohol instead of some kind of cherry drink. I thought that was hilarious. 3nodding
Heh, I'm even named after Anne. My mom LOVED the series and when she read it, she knew that if she ever had a girl, her name would be Anne. xp

My father just bought me the entire series but I haven't had time to read them. But I did read Anne of Avonlea a few years ago and thought it was amazing! It was the only Anne of Green Gables book that my library had sweatdrop I have seen the Anne of Green Gables movie and I loved it 3nodding Once I finnish The Cry of Icemark by Stuart Hill, I plan on reading Anne of Green Gables 3nodding

I never finished the series, but I would love to re-read the books.
There was something so simple and sweet about the characters. And I adore Anne. heart

I read the whole series 5 years ago mrgreen I think the first few books are the best. Some parts are so funny like when Anne gave Diana the wine, the silly letters from her students (aunt so-and-so scared away a lion she first thought was a dog!), and when Anne's kid's friends got the days of the week mixed up.

I own the series, and if I can ever find it I plan on making the time to read it. I've read a much shorter version of Anne of Green Gables in Grade 3, but I've only read half of the full version. Not because I didn't enjoy it (I adored it) but I've yet to get close to the scene where Matthew dies. It brings me to tears just thinking about it.
