Before I start, let me explain a few things. I am a Christian, of the Protestant sort. I am a believer in the paranormal and have had a handful of experiences. I've gravitated to mythology and the occult; and even lightly contemplated into practicing paganism. I'm still a Christian though, and happy in that.

Now, I begin. My mom married my step-dad, consequently relocating me to North Carolina. We moved from Hawaii to North Carolina because of my step-dad got a new military assignment. My step-dad and my two step-brothers left one month earlier to situate the house, while my mom and I wrapped things up in Hawaii.

So we arrived and all the furniture was set and everything was in place. My first night at the house, I had trouble adjusting to the new time zone. North Carolina is about 6-7 hours ahead of Hawaii. It was about 1:00 am and I was trying to go to sleep and failing to do so. Everyone was already asleep. I always sleep with all the light off. With nothing else to do, I started to pray. I didn't feel or sense anything wrong. Although, I am slightly sensitive to Other energies. I just prayed because that is what I do.

Honestly, I was a little anxious. I was in a new area and a new house. No friends, so I talked to God. My prayers to God where about me hopefully finding new friends. I thanked God for giving us safety on our plane ride. I also prayed about my family. I also prayed for general needs and concerns. And lastly as I always pray for I ask for safety and protection of my household. I asked for God's divine protection and safety over this new house of mine. I asked God to send his holy angels to watch over the north, south, east, west boundaries of our house and property. I closed with asking God that if there was anything that wanted to harm me and my family in our house, if He could banish it and cast it away never to return. I finished the prayer with Amen.

As soon I said "Amen". I heard a quiet, low rumble. The rumble grew until it became a very loud noise, sounding like a roar. It sounded like no animal I have ever heard before. More like a mixture of animals. The low rumble was like a boar's grunt tuning into a lion's roar at the loudest point. Then the loud noise was gone. All that was left was the sound of the quiet night. This was in a course of 10 seconds. I was scared, but it seemed like it was over. I did not want to investigate further at the point, so after a couple minutes, I fell asleep.

The next morning I asked if anyone heard anything last night. They all answered no. I could tell what area the noise was coming from. It was our downstairs bathroom. It probably is the center-most area of our house. I went in there and it looked at seemed normal. Just a nice, little bathroom. I have had no experiences in my house since then.

It could be, that God or whoever was answering you. And got rid of something that had intentions on harming anyone that was new to that house.
