He was just visiting. It was a version of a summer getaway, if you will, making the trek away from his woodsy flatlands up into the snowy peaks. Sometimes Tieg just found himself bored, sick of his surroundings and craving something more, more than a monotonous lifestyle that was simply
being. Actually, he was usually that way. It was just hard to find himself a proper excuse to actually act on his discontent. The heat of summer did it pretty damn nicely.
He was up to his knees in snow and realized it was much less of a hassle than cooling off in a river. Maybe he should move here. The only thing that might have stopped him were the trees, those flimsy, bare pines with prodding needles. You couldn't
climb one of those unless you were a squirrel. Even if he was a squirrel, he thought, he wouldn't particularly like to climb those trees. He would climb to the very top and fling himself from it, more like. His thoughts would drift to a halt as the wind brought a scent of another creature like him nearby, large ears trembling at the sound of crunching snow. Suddenly he was taking a faster pace, bounding through the snow with strange leaps that weren't completely necessary for someone his size. By the time he reached the source, though, there was nothing and no one there. Tracks in the snow, where something had barreled down...
Perplexed, Tieg followed the trail, not really knowing what he was dealing with until he stepped in the midsts of the snow drift- and fell right through it. "Help! I'm being consumed!" This snow was pretty tasty though, even if it did make his teeth ache.
