i hate it when people label themself and call themselves emo.
that seriously makes you a poser.
you can consider yourself emo
but when you go up to everybody and say "hi my name is manda and i'm emo!"
that seriously makes you a loser.
oh yeaa and when ppl put stuff on there myspaces that say like "i hate my life i want to kill my self"
but in real like there the preppiest person in the world.
sorry i just needed to get that out

i know! i totally agree!
but labels are stupid either way
and people just randomly saying "hi, i'm emo" just shows that they want to be emo and/or are drama queens

I think that someone can be emo-and call themselves that. I do agree, it's a grab for attention if they randomly tell everyone they can that they are though.
And I hate posers too, but you never know. just because you see them as preppy, doesn't mean that's who they are. Maybe they act that way so people don't see what they are feeling. It's kind of like a wall, you know?

The real emos are the ones AVOIDING attention and not giving a crap what people label them as...

look at me and say dude are you emo i go im scene because i think its a

i agree
i hate posers
and ppl always use the word scene but they dont even know what scene really is and its annoying
and its true someone may look preppy but its probably because they r hiding their feelings so that ppl wont get in their business
but other than that ppl always go for the stereotypical type of emo and for some reason everyone at my school thinks that emo is being cool and it really bothers me
so i keep everything to myself xP
(when i say ppl i mean ppl from school) xP

i honestly agree about the whole label thing and it sucks that people just automatically label themselves emo.half the kids at my school say them are emo even though only about not even 1/10 of them are truly emo.

Labels are stupid anyway you put it. It's just people's ways of trying to divide themselves instead of trying to actually be nice to each other.
But hey, this is coming from a guy that got called emo all the time in high school, but rarely even dressed like one.
