The wind lifts the scent...Sweet...Welcoming...I wander following unconciously. A town, small and warm just outside of the trees where I emerge. A toothy grin flashes over my face as fangs reveal themselves proudly. So close...Past the gate that is its entrance,past commoners and stands filled with fruit and bread...a market place.I sniff the air,with only slight movement to notice. Eyes land on me and do not turn away...I am dressed differently then them...more revealing.Provacative even. An alley just ahead as I am just passing through.
The scent growing stronger. As I turn the corner a man stands infront of me...his back towards me...a woman in front of him. The scent is from the woman...who is screaming only muffled.The man snickers and touches her...Closer...I smile flashing fangs yet again...and almost purr.
It worked...his attention drawn.The woman almost to scared to move looks at me as well.I jerk my head to the side and she runs out of the alley.She was the one smelling so sweet because now the alley is filled with a rotten stench.But my pride is to strong and this rotten slab is in deserving of death. I smile...alluring him towards me.
He grabs my hands and pushes me into the wall...but is no match.At the instant his guard is down,I reverse our positions to where he is now suspended in my grasp against the wall.I flash my fangs once before digging in.My teeth scraping his flesh and his cries muffled from my grasp.I drink...energy filling me...through the rotten exterrior,sweet delicious blood still flows.Moments later,a lifeless body lay infront of me.
I spot a cloak by my feet...the womans...sweet aroma erupts from it.I pick it up...surprizingly warm.I don it...letting it drape over my shoulders.Then I decapitate the corpse before exiting the alley...revitalized.Out of the town...into the forest...into the night...after the hunt!
