Ok as the subject says can any ethernet cable work with the XBOX360?
the reason on why i ask this is becouse the ethernet cable that came with the XBOX360 isnt long enough.

The answer is yes, I used a 3ft cable I made in one of my classes and it works like a dream

Yes any Ethernet Cable can work with the Xbox 360. I am also not using the Cable that came with it.

Yes, you have to slice off the ends of two or more ethernet cables and then connect the endings to form a longer cable. It's called crimping.
