It was late in the morning, right around lunch. Tsubame was in Shunpo class earlier, totally wiping the floor with everyone. The morning's practice was a variation of a game of tag, where the instructor would call out a name from the class and everyone would try to catch them, flash step or otherwise. Of course, the person being chased was required to shunpo their way out of everyone's clutches. Tsubame, being a natural at flash stepping, easily dodged her way through everyone when her name was called and even taunted some of the men in her class. Some of the slower people in her class stared in wonder at the sheer speed of their classmates. Her continuous flash steps left behind blurry, yet still barely visible afterimages, and Tsubame's sensei commented her on almost achieving the ability to do Utsusemi (Cicada Skin Shedding).

She wiped off some sweat as she sat down under a ruined tree in the backyard garden of the school. Surprisingly enough, the incident that occurred a week earlier left most of the school grounds intact, albeit the slight tilt of some of the buildings.

Drawing in deep breaths of air, she remembered that her duty was to be tonight. She would probably be partnered up with a sensei, and she hoped that nothing bad would happen. The first few days they were here brought about a flurry of guerrilla-like attacks from Hollows in Hueco Mundo who were distraught at the new 'permanent' guest on the border of the forest and sands. Lately, however, the attacks have been sparse, mostly just random Hollows who probably happened to get lost on their way to hunt for food. The more common inhabitants of the area around them now know to not mess with an entire group of students, most of them knowing how to summon their Zanpakuto into Shikai form, or at least have a decent repertoire and mastery of Destructive and Binding Kidou.

Tsubame stood up and headed for the Kidou grounds, hoping to get some practice shots in before her class in a little while.

(( I was waiting for someone else to possibly post before me, but I guess that's not what's working out.
Hope your post was the okay for us to post, GOD~ heart ))

A throbbing headache. The sounds of low murmurs, people groaning softly, the babbling sound of someone crying. A sharp intake of breath as a figure tried moving, only to go still again. A hand pats a shoulder gently, and the recipient makes a soft noise.
"Amai Todojima. Do you recognize that name?" a woman's voice, quiet enough not to irk the growing headache.

"Ri... Simply Ri." a set of lips mumbled, and then a pair of grayish orbs opened.
It was dark... night time? Someone was standing over him, and he could barely make out her shape. The nurse checked him over a moment, before patting his shoulder lightly again.
"Stay in bed and rest- you need it. You've been out for a week." The woman murmured, before she went to check on other patients. Other students. And then things clicked on, and he woke up feeling disorientated.

Confused for a moment, Ri stared at the ceiling filling things in, in his head. There had been an ungodly large mass of Hollows attacking Seireitei... The school was attacked, and students and shimigami alike were forced to fight. The battle lasted maybe seconds, maybe days... It was a fuzzy memory, time. There had been too much to pay attention to to worry about it that much. And then the black hole... The school being picked up and carried off, along with everything else that couldn't escape its' hold...

Ri gritted his teeth slightly and brought a hand up to his head. He could feel bandages there, and when he checked his person, he found more bandages over his chest and stomach. Too weak. He and Uhyou weren't strong enough of a team for the Hollow force... he had been attacked from all around, and killed many, but eventually fell. A rip to the stomach, a scratch towards his heart and lungs... He vaguely recalled getting thrown somewhere in the process of being pulled into the black hole, and then the rest was a blank.

Too weak. The attack had definitely been something under Aizen's control... And he'd failed what might've been a simple test. He should've been stronger. He needed to get stronger... Where were they? He would train, wherever they were... He closed his eyes for a bit as he thought things out, and then he opened them again when he decided he needed to see for himself. Shifting, it took a few moments, but he was up and standing with only a minor dizzy spell. He found his glasses and put them on, before strapping Uhyou to his back.

A week. A week unconscious was too long. Even if he might have had major brain injuries, bodily injuries, or even if he might possibly even be dying, he should have woken up sooner... There were things needing to be done. He needed to get stronger. He gritted his teeth a little and sighed, before letting his inner emotions disappear from his face. No use letting someone else see what he was thinking.

The nurse was practically having a heart attack. Ri smiled and rubbed the back of his head tenderly. "Uh... I remembered I had wanted to check up on some people after the fighting was over. I'm guessing it's over now... and it has been for a while, so I'm going to go look. Give someone else the bed, if they need it." He could see students on the floor, as well as filling every bed in the medical bay. First years, Sixth years- anyone who wasn't strong enough during the battle. Before the nurses recovered from their shock, the 5'7" male wandered out of the room in an escape to see for himself what had happened.

Tanakietsu

A motionless wind was whistling at the focal point of a garbed wanderer sheathed in tattered brown. The figure would know absolutely no rest until the destination in mind had been reached. No doubt, it couldn’t be too far away. The projected landing point of the shinigami academy was around these coordinates; the wrapped loner was determined to investigate. The path it walked was littered with Hollows, yet they seemed to distance themselves as the figure walked closer and closer. It was only a short period before the fallen academy had reached visibility.

Removing the hood in relief, a woman’s head blanketed with crimson stared endlessly forward with two aquamarine gems. Discarding the shabby cloak, a more humorous appearance was revealed. Tight blue jeans and purple/white swirled t-shirts are hardly desert-appropriate attire. Yet the katana at her side would have it believed otherwise. A smile crept over her face, one filled with joviality and excitement, she would finally have some fun now that he was back.

---
Maroon skipped around the academy, donning the teacher’s clothes he’d acquired during the academy’s downfall. In his attempt to blend in, he had for some reason managed to succeed. Despite all of his strange quirks, Maroon’s teaching hadn’t been half bad. He had lucked out; killing the instructor to conduct reconnaissance had worked out quite favorably. Students, on the surface at least, pretended to like him, or they just laughed at his oblique personas. But something had recently struck a paranoid nerve within his mind, one that shut even the Hollow hiding himself up. Something, or someone was coming and it would be a danger to his mission.

As he finally made his way to the roof, he looked out and saw a disappearing and reappearing flash move about the desert. Maroon was right in skipping his own class, if who he thought was approaching, things would surely become dangerous for him. Predicting where each flash would take place, he giggled a little when he felt cold steel caress his neck, the blade pointed towards his Adam’s apple.

“Well, now. You know better than that, my dear. Pointing that there would have no use with my blade going through your chin up into your silly brainy-wainy. Tee~h”

His zanpakuto had been unsheathed from its obscure positioning and Maroon was poking her chin with the hilt playfully. After a few minutes the stranger behind him squealed with excitement as they lowered their swords and she proceeded to jump on his back, embracing Maroon’s entirety. Though they had been reunited, Maroon decided to reprimand his hugger about using so much reiatsu upon arrival. But it didn’t seem to bother her. Maroon sighed, exasperated with her antics, and beckoned her to follow him with a simple “Chelsea”. They walked through the halls back to his classroom where they could talk more seriously, despite the frequent entering and leaving of students.
