We need ideas and a thorough plot if we want this guild to be a success.

I know we're still in the early stages of the guild, but the first thing we'll need to decide is when we want the rp to take place.
We can either do it before the series, or after. If we choose before, we have to decide how far before, because the conflict with the fire nation stretches a good couple hundred years.
If we choose after, we have to decide who the enemies will be, etc.

Aona and I were talking about this, and we came up with two possibilities right off the bat.
1. The story can take place around the time of Iro's siege on the earth kingdom capital. That way, no avatar to worry about.
2. The storyline can take place several generations after Avatar ended. Something can happen to piss off the spirits. They declare distrust and contemplate war. Their first target was the Avatar before he can master his 1st element. They take him into the spirit world, body and all, as a threat.

I really like that second idea, just because it makes everything feel a little more urgent, and doesn't pick out just one nation to be the villain.
However, the first one is really good too. Poor Earth Kingdom capital.

No matter what the storyline is, I recommend that the guild mods become members of the White Lotus society, so learn Pi Cho ((sp???))

I now have the full series and have watched all the episodes. I was kind of looking forward to be a fire nation general reeking havoc on the world's population.
You could do what we did with the Gaioh Ninja Clan... place it long before the series begins, in another area entirely, with your own designs... so you can make the world whatever you want it to be. Although it will be a little harder with Avatar, as it encompasses a world instead of a section of it.

Not sure how often you folks check this guild, but here's my two cents:
1) "White Lotus" thing is a good idea.
2) "Distant Future" or "Distant Past" would be wise. More than one person might want to play an Airbender, and playing a Firebender that doesn't get attacked on sight by any of the good guys is kind of hard.
3) If it wasn't stated outright, no one should be RPing the Avatar. Not even a mod.
4) Sadly, this can't really take place "somewhere else". When the Gaang is traveling around, they're shown traversing the entire World Map. "Somewhere Else" would have to be an alternate universe.
5) All told, I'd probably prefer it if we went back to a Pokemon guild, albeit with a different setting, plot, and feel to it than the first one. I told Aona the gist of it already, but I'll PM a couple of you with the pitch tonight.
