ok so this is like totaly confusing me...
In the story i am currently writing my main character Ann is getting married and her best friend is a guy.
She doesn't have any girl friends who she want to be her maid of honor so she wants her bestie, Don to take the place.
the only thing is....
what the heck do they call the maid of honor when the maid of honor is a freaking man? it's been confusing me alll day, i have majore writers block becouse of it and my mom didn't know the answer.
please, please help me...
if anyone know can you let me know?

Man of honor, maybe? I don't know. I know the guy picks his 'best man' so, you could call him that...
Or, you could somehow avoid saying 'man of honor/best man' in your story... but at the same time you could imply that Don is Ann's 'made of honor'.
Not sure if that helps or not...

Fear Richy if u dare Ermm, this storyline is already a movie. "Made of Honour". is it realy? sweatdrop wow... i've never seen that movie. i didn't know. It's just a small scene in the book realy. It takes up maybe a chapter and a half so it's not like major to the plot line it was just bugging me becouse i didn't know what to call him...

I would suggest maybe making something up? Maybe have Ann call him her 'maid of honor' just to tease him about it.

I'm going to be so mean to Don...
What's the thems for the wedding? Cause if it's not that important and her hubby has a few friends that are girls...you could do a gender bender kinda thing. You could have Ann dress up in a white tux, her hubby in a black dress and kinda swithc it so the dude has the bride's maids and the chick have the best man
just a thought...sorry if it's a little to random, Angle Diaries has definately inplanted itself in my brain...
