Ok, I have always wondered this. Do you think it would be good to have a guild, or even a part of gaia to have a site for dating? Meaning something like E Harmony or something. Where if you want to, you can take tests and little quizzes to see who you might match up with. I mean really, there are almost, about 100,000 different kids all around the world that get on gaia.
But of course there would be rules. Like you have to be at least 16,17, or even 18. You have to follow gaia rules and so on. But what do you think?
Good or Bad?

heh, well, people lie, people will say they are any age. especially younger people who want to do something on a site that they can't do. hell, i'm twenty and technically can't go to alcohol websites, (wtfs, yo) but, you still can.
there used to be a personals section, it just turned into lots of people looking to cyber. and, on a site as big as this, it'd probably be a bad idea to try it again.

A lot of people I know are 20 years old or older and most people will never meet each other in rl. It'll end up in many broken hearts and masses of people caught cabering.
Quite a good intention, but here on Gaia dangerous.

I totally agree with you on that.
Internet dating is really not a good idea, mainly because very rarely does anything good ever come out of it...
Plus someone's bound to get their heart broken as stated above, which never leads to anything good, because IRL or RL it doesn't matter, something like that is still very upsetting...)=

I really dont know what to say about that.....
I mean romance topics are alright on gaia as long as they dont go past pg-13.
If there was one that you could trust maybe good maybe bad.

weather you like or dislike dating sites, gaia is mainly supposed to be a kid/teen friendly place, they do not belong on dating sites. so, no, gaia does not need a dating guild. that would be encouraging to online predators, and I certainly dont want gaia attracting their kind.....

Well... I don't think it's a very good idea.. There are a lot of people pretending to be someone else.. Nobody is really sure who is who.. and People lie all the time.. And if you wanted to meet the person they pair you with, giving them a time and place, you could find a 12 year old boy waiting for you, or some 40-year-old *****.. You can't trust the internet or anyone on it..
I'm also highly against internet dating.. I'd never do it... ever. I don't think you can form a true bond with someone if you've never met them in real life..
I've met really nice people on Gaia, and on MySpace, but would I ever trust them with my address or my phone number? No way in hell. Like I said before, someone could be anyone and anyone could be potentially harmful.
So, again, I don't think a dating section on Gaia would be a very good idea. But that's just me.
