Do... Do you guys feel like... this week is just a little sad? Like... it's just a little colder, the world seems a little darker... The light is just... gone. It's like our hope just left us.

Barack Obama left the country.
(I totally stole that from John Stewert. XD)

But'yes, my man's outta the country on a fact-finding mission in the middle east. I don't think he's made any screw-ups yet. I really hope he doesn't, but another part of me hopes he does, because it seems that everyone who doesn't like him is determined to see him mess something up.

I guess I'll just feel bad if they're disappointed? sweatdrop
I wouldn't, except one of those people is my dad.
He's not completely decided yet, but he's probably voting for McCain.
And he always tells me,
"Val, he's gonna mess up, he's not perfect like everyone thinks he is."
Whiiiiich I never said he was perfect, so I don't understand the need to lecture me about it...

But anyway.

Yep, he's on his first fact-finding mission as the democratic nominee.
Any thoughts?

I like the fact that he's out visiting other countries. 3nodding It shows the public that he can, in fact, be a president and interact on an international level.

It shows that he can work with other countries and learn what he needs to be President solely for the purpose of better understanding situations with foreign countries and not for campaigning. He's doing the majority of this out of the public's eyes.

I dunno about that. He's got reporters from the three biggest news networks with him.

One thing he told us was that he was going to work for transparency in the government, so that we always knew about eveything happening, unlike a lot of things that have happened in the past. So the fact that the reporters are with him not only is like "well, of course," but it also could be showing us that he means what he said.

I like how the other countries are responding to him
They seem to really like him and I think that’s awesome.
It’s like there saying, "FINALY some one competent might actually be running the U.S.. We don’t have to deal with some one completely and totally ignorant any more! xd "
Also, did you see the dolls that one of the countries made of him?
I think it was Germany or something.

I wish he was visiting New Zealand. We've got Condoleezza Rice instead atm. My university's student association is offering a $10,000 reward for anyone that can put her under citizen's arrest eek rofl

Anyway I think it's good he's doing this. It shows how much support he has outside of the States huh.
