Eclyse stepped quietly through the forest, her ears perked alertly. This area seemed to be pretty deserted, but that was fine with her. She caught the sound of running water a littlw ways off, and since she was feeling a bit thirsty she headed for it. Through the trees she could see the stream, and possibly a clearing as well.

Zuri timidly stood in front of the stream. He wanted a drink, but he also wanted to keep a look out for predators. His legs shook as his ears twitched fearfully.
Thirst getting the best of him, Zuri slowly bent down to get a drink from the stream. His ears turned like radars keeping a look out for anything coming his way.

Ecylse neared the bank of the stream and was about to step up to it when she saw another Namir. He had little horns and unusually-shaped ears, and was drinking from the stream. She hadn't expected to see anyone here. Maybe she should go farther down the stream to get her drink. She started to back away, hoping to leave unnoticed, but her shoulder brushed against a bush, causing it to rustle a bit. She froze, hoping the other Namir paid no notice to it.

Razi slowly took his drink the stream. Things seemed safe until he picked up the sound of a rustling bush. His head shot up, water dripping from his full mouth, and scanned the area.
It wasn't hard for his eyes to stop the bright pink zebra patterned female. Razi slowly and fearfully swallowed his water and he started to back up. His eyes were large and full of fear. It seemed that the male had forgotten where he was since there wasn't much to back up on, which only meant on thing...with in a few seconds of backing up Razi fell in to the stream.

Ecylse shrunk back a little when the other Namir looked up at her. But to her surprise, he seemed to be more scared of her than she was of him. He was even backing away from her, wide-eyed.
She jumped at the loud splash of him falling in the stream. She immediately felt bad. It was partly her fualy he fell in, after all. She took a small step forward and craned her neck to try to see him better. "Um, s-sorry to startle you. Are...are you OK?" she tentatively asked.

Zuri shyly sat in the water with embarassment hanging over his head. He was soaked head to toe and tail. The male made no move as he sat in the stream. Razi's ears perked as he herd the voice of the one who startled him.
"I..I'm fine..You..you aren't here to hunt me or hurt me..are you?"

"Hurt you," she said incredulously. "Wh-why would I...I would never...I-i only..." her words tumbled out akwardly, and realizing she wasn't making much sense she stoped and gestured to the stream. "I just wanted a drink," she said quietly.

"Oh! Right...right. I..I guess that is pretty obvious..stream..drinking.." Zuri kept his head down and his ears flattened against his head. He slowly and carefully lefted himself up and walked back on to the bank of the river trying not to trip back in.
"Yo..you can take a drink if..if you want. I..I won't bother you.."

Eclyse nodded and stepped forward. She walked slowly towards the stream, partly from her ever-present sense of caution, but partly also because she didn't want to startle the other Namir any more. At the edge of the stream she bent down to drink, but couldn't help looking up at the other Namir some more. She noticed he had white fur rimming his eyes, which made them look even wider. It sort of made him look even more startled. She hoped that was at least part of why he looked so scared of her, and not because of actual fear. She wouldn't hurt anyone, really.
When she'd quenched her thirst, Ecylse took a couple steps back from the stream. "Thanks," she said, then paused. She wasn't sure if she should say anythgin more, but after a moment she decided giving her name seemed reasonable enough. "I'm Eclyse, by the way."

Zuri stepped away from the bank and shook the water from his fur making them stand on end and every which way. He sat down and shook with cold and fear. He swore his current appearance made him look more crazed than scared.
He slowly turned to the female and looked down at her feet. "Oh, my..my name is Zuri. It's nice to meet you Eclyse." He didn't know what else to say since he didn't talk to anymore. Only spoke when spoken to or needed.
"Um, so, has anyone told you that you look like..like a pink Zebra?"

Eclyse blinked, spurpised by the comment. "A pink...zebra?" She knew she had strpies of course, but were they particularly zebra-like? She looked her fur over, then peered into the stream to try to her her relfection. It was a bit hard to see clearly, but she supposed her face looked zebra-like. "Yeah, I guess I do," she said after a moment. "Hmm, that's funny," she remarked quietly.
She looked up at Zuri, curious now whether he looked like an animal. His ears and horns certainly weren't typical of a namir, and his coloring looked like it could belong to an animal, so she supposed he probably did. She had no idea what animal it could be, though. Would he mind her asking? She shuffled her feet a moment before giving it a try. "Um, do you know if you look like any animal? I think you kind of look like you could..."

Zuri's ears perked at the female's question. He certainly acted animal like in many ways, especially with his prey like fears and actions. Yet, he didn't really know if he looked like one. He did know he was different from other Namrah. Zuri tried hard to think and find and answer.
"Well, I think I do have the features of an animal. My frenemy, Razi, says I do look like some kind of deer thing. If I remember right he said I look like a Dik-dik."
