Over the past couple days I've been ill with a fever (other symptoms too, but that's not important) and while I was ill my tongue swelled up slightly. [Not so much that it was irrtating or annoying though]
Now that I'm better, my tongue's swollen up hugely and if it swells up even more it may swallow the top ball.
I don't want to have to take it out, but I really don't want to have to get it surgically removed.
Help please?

Tongue piercing now gone.
Will be getting it back later in the year though.

o_o Guess I was too late. Glad to hear you're doing okay, though, and your tongue didn't swallow your jewelry. Better safe than sorry.

Ew I had that a few times. Eventually got my tonsils out. NOT FUN.

Oh, I think I read about this in the GD thread. At least the tonsillitis part. Yeah, just gotta take it out. That sucks though. .__.

I had my tonsils removed a few years back.
Sorry about the tonsillitis, but..
I hope your upcoming tongue piercing works out better for you.

I wish I could get my tonsils out. I have size freak-of-nature-large, and it's gross. I get chunks of food behind them and it makes me gag.

My tonsils are like giga sensitive, theyre swolen almost every morning when I wake up but they go back down real quick.
