okay so this has to be one of the oldest in the book and probably one of the simplest, but one of my good friends has the biggest crush on me and i don't have feeling for him like that. what do i do? should i give our friendship a break, maybe to let his feelings claim down? i really don't want to lead him on. he hasn't asked me out or anything (which i pray and hope he never works up the nerve too because i'll have the hardest time giving him an answer. since he is my friend. i really don't want to hurt him) but i am afriad that i'm leading him on. i've made sure all my actions and whatever i say doesn't give off the slightest false flirtation vibe. but i guess just being myself is good enough for him because he's getting clinger and keeps hitting on me more frequently. what do i do?

I have a similar problem but I don't talk to this girl alot but we're still friends. She called me one day and after talking for awhile she told me she likes me. I plan on coming to her and personally telling her I rather us just be friends. If asks why I tell her the straight truth I like someone else at the moment and I can't see her and me as more than friends.

I've had this same problem too, when I was younger. Tell the young man that you value his friendship. Tell him that there are things that you can only talk about with a friend, and that becoming his girlfriend would change all that. A friend is a very special thing to have. It's hard to break up with a good friend.
