I am a legal secretary in a small law firm with three attorneys that practice in the fields of Family Law, Criminal Law and Personal Injury/Medical Malpractice. The owner of the firm is wonderful and there is no place else I would rather be.

Well I have only just been appointed my job this week to be exact and I am really excited they are placing me in a course to learn e-buisness so they are paying me to do that but before this job I have been a personal carer in the aged care industry.

Not to sound like I'm bragging or anything, but I have a job at school, go to school, and have two kids. They are what I am the most proud of. Without them life would be empty.
BTW, even though it doesn't do anything but make me mad. Today is my 17th aniversary. If the jerk would have stuck around that is. Oh well...

I am also caring for my two siblings as my mum works interstate and I am also studying an at home course in Professional childrens writing. So yeah that would make me mad as well Neo but things happen eh?

If the opportunity presents itself, TAKE IT! Don't hesitate. I think going back to school has been the best thing in the world for me. My first semester I never even set foot on campus other than to get registered. I took online classes and enjoyed them. Look into it, you will be so much of a better person for it. I have increased my sense of self 10-fold. My energy level may have gone down as much, but I think a little give and take is good!

And that energy level will increase again once classes are finished and you have such a great sense of accomplishment.

Not sure how I missed this thread, but I am semi-retired from the casinos and the main reason for that is when we lost my mom (she lived with us) I needed someone home to assist my son who home schools... I had a hysterectomy a month after my mom passed away, which meant 8 weeks off to recuperate and Jim and I were really pleased with the positive way my kids were influence by my being home. As I was pondering the big question of whether to 'retire' or not, I hapened to talk to a woman my brother knows who has been a teacher for 30+ years. She pointed out that as much as my home schooler needs me at home, teenagers need someone waiting for them at home even more sometimes lest they turn to the wrong kind of friends in their spare time. Needless to say, I obliged and make sure my daughter has no free time J/K rofl

I don't know how I missed it either. I work in the Benefits Deptartment of a large Univeristy. It's a job, and a step in the door of a university, so I don't complain.

WickedPlum I don't know how I missed it either. I work in the Benefits Deptartment of a large Univeristy. It's a job, and a step in the door of a university, so I don't complain. I always loved working for some place big... always felt most secure that way, but that is just me, in my brother's case, he owns a business with two other men. rolleyes
