My German Shepard/Pit bull mix decided to chase a cat and bring my mom down. My mom, thankfully let go of the leash.

And, thankfully, my dog isn't taken for walks outside our yard, so she stayed inside the yard long enough for me to run outside, grab the leash, then get my dad to get my mom up.

I know how you feel! My aunt has a german short haired pointer. Very pretty dog and I luffles him! Except! This one day in our driveway.

My dad and I and my best friend were watching him outside while my aunt went inside to talk to my mom. We played for a bit but then my dad had to go inside for some reason. (I don't know why we kept Diesel outside though, we always let him in for a treat) Well, my dad gave me the leash and told us to stay where we were and hold him tight. I didn't know he was that strong, though. I always walk w/ my aunt and she never let me hold the leash though so I decided to walk him around and the next thing I knew I was being dragged up the small hill to our back door. I was trying to gin control so I dug my elbows into the ground with all my strength and the next thing I knew we got up to the concrete and got a really bad cut/scratch on my elbow. I was in a wedding the next day...

Ouch.

Why I'm glad our 140 pound malamute doesn't pull. I have been dragged around by my 45 pound Chow mix. She really pulles when she wants too.

That looks like that hurt.

My bloodhound hurts my wrist alot because won't take her nose off the ground and when she gets a scent trail she takes me along for the ride.

Definately looks like it hurt. You may want to take him to training or invest in a gentle leader...the kind that goes around the muzzle and the neck. This type muzzle is excellent because the dog can only go in the direction of his head.

I have a 70lb pitbull and she is ALL muscle. Gentle leader works GREAT on her.

Yes...it did suck for the first few days, but luckily, I'm pretty much healed, for the most part, that is. I have a few scabs on my arm, but nothing like what it used to be. Aside from the scabs, it's a little pink and the skin is peeling, but other than that it's fine. My stomach, however, needs a bit of work. There's this really rockhard spot next to the bruise on my stomach, and my mom thinks it might be internal bruising. But I can't go to the hospital until the 12th. So....yea.... stare I'm still kinda mad at my dog for doing that, and it's been almost three weeks.
