The snowy furred cat was up for it. She heard Spinner's instructions clearly and saw the demonstration. "Okay, let's head off!" She said eccentrically running off behind the building, trying not to get herself in one of the metal death traps of no return. She looked back constantly to see if Spinner was still there, but of course she would be, right? Touya would suspect that Spinner knew the territory like the back of her paw if she knew where all these traps were laid.

Spinner followed closely behind Touya, she had confidence in her, but still still had her doubts if this dainty cat really could handle these traps every few days or so when they were put out. But she wouldn't voice such a thing, keep the girl's hops up was the best thing she could do.
"That next trap is right over here!" she said jerking her head over to point it out. The trap was slightly concealed, as if people thought if they put a few branches over it they wouldn't notice it was a trap. But if you were hungry enough you wouldn't care where the food came from.

Touya's ears flinched and looked to where Spinner had pointed. "okay!" she replied, dashing towards it, still being cautious. Upon arriving, she immediately began to inspect it carefully. It looked almost identical to the one Spinner had done her example on. "if i remember correctly... the switch should be here..." She muttered to herself, looking into the trap and noticing the latch that was tampered with and help up the trap door.
She looked over at Spinner. "May I set it off?" She asked before doing something wrong. She knew that in reality, she couldn't ask these questions to anyone. She had to be ready to do anything in case of any situation.

Spinner stood watching Touya and nodded her head when she questioned on setting off the trap. "There's one and then there's one more on the other side of the complex" she said watching Touya. If Touya got caught or couldn't set it off correctly she was there to help out.
Spinner's stubby little tail wiggled with excitement, cats more and more we entering territories and not just wandering the streets and sleeping in alley ways. To see territories gaining cats and starting to turn into communities was a joy.

Touya nodded back and began to try set it off. She didn't want to rely on a stick in case there weren't any nearby. She stuck her paw where she saw Spinner stick the tree branch. She pressed her body against the outside of the cage and felt around for the switch. She tapped it a few times in hope of a loud SNAP. just like Spinner had done with the other cage.
nothing happened...
She tried again, this time harder as well as trying to wiggle the switch around, trying to make it snap. She let her guard down, struggling with the switch for well over a few minutes. and then... SNAP. the cage door fell, locking nothing but the bait inside.

Spinner watched and waited for Touya, noting the fact that she was struggling. She wondered if Touya would even be able to do it when the trap finally snapped shut. She nodded and got back up to her feet. "Good, now onto the last trap. Looks like you struggled with this one a little. You'll need to work on that." she said leading the way to the last trap.
She wasn't giving up on Touya yet, every once in a while you got a tough trap that just didn't want to be set off. She herself had come across a few herself. They were never fun, but you still had to trip them for the safety of others.

Touya manouvered her paw out of the cold steel bars of the prison. It felt weird against her skin. It wasn't everyday that you press your face against cold metal bars, even if she'll have to do it every few days if she gets accepted. She tried her best to ignore the feeling and trotted off behind to the next one behind the complex.
She peered around and saw something glistening in the shadows. "Is that it?" She asked Spinner as she pointed to the silvery shining thing that hid itself next to the giant dumpster.

Spinner nodded sadly, as they approached a horrible sound came to them. The mewing of a kitten. Spinner's eyes lite out and she took off at a run towards the cage. "Oh no!" she yelled as she sprinted towards the metal death trap.
Once at the cats Spinner's ears had heard right. Trapped inside was a kitten, she still had her collar on and she small plate of food was empty in the trap. Her pitiful yellow eyes staring up at Spinner, crying for help.
Spinner looked back for Touya. "Touya, this is what I was telling you about. It's your turn. Help her out and set off the trap again once she's out." she said, she knew the hurt was deep in her voice, it drove her crazy to see cats stuck in the horrible contraptions that the humans set out.

Toua's eyes widened at the sight of the kitten. It still had her collar. "On it!" She said as she dashed to the side of the prison. "You'v got to stay calm." She told the kitten, trying to stall for time. She reached her paw inside the cage. It was now or never, she HAD to save this kitten, who knew when the human would return, but at least, without sound, the human might not notice the fact that there was something caught in their trap.
She moved her paw to the dangling switch and slowly moved her paw, pushing it to make the door snap open again. Her paws were short, not enough to push it all the way, but she had to. She pressed her body against the metal door harder, making sure she used every last ounce of her energy to snap it back open. "go, go!" She told the kitten, not sure how long she could hold it open.

The kitten flew out of the trap without hesitation and disappeared around the nearest building.
Spinner sighed with relief and looked over to Touya. "You know, I was a little worried about you when I saw you, but now I know I got nothin' to worry about with you looking out for this place." she said holding out her hand to Touya. "Welcome Home Touya, Yorino Aparentments are now yours to call home. Eventually it may fall upon you if you wish to truly name this territory for your own as the leader to test those who wish to enter your territory, until then I will continue to come out and test those who so chose to join her." she said bowing her head slightly, her long bangs falling over her face.
Once again a cat had claimed a territory, her job was done here. Spinner stood up and turned around giving Touya a slight wave. "See ya around!" she yelled and disappeared into the coming night.

Touya waved with a sense of relief. "Bye Spinner. Thank you~" She called as she watched Spinner turn into a speck of nothingness in the night. As soon as she saw Spinner go, she dropped to her knees and rolled along the dusty ground a little ways from the trap "I DID IT! I DID IT!" she cried out in her kitty voice; just to get yelled at by an unpleasant man with a deep gruff voice. "SHUT UP!" It yelled.
