The red dot sight is better because when you use the ACOG you tend to be a little less accurate. At least I am anyway.

i destroy with the m40 acog,
and i use the scorpion with acog a lot (with steady aim of course).

This is a no brainer... Red Dot. If you put on an ACOG people will laugh at you... Very hard.

They won't laugh at you if you own em. (LIKE ME)

Red dot, I dont like the sway on the ACOG and I tend to shoot through people more with the ACOG.

It all depends on the weapon, but I much prefer the RDS for the majority of weapons.
