The Youth of Dreams
On the humid marshes, young Kimeti do sing
Their lives still young, yet much they have seen-
The stories recounted by elders stay fresh
Spawning acute mental imagery for the youth to cherish.
As the heat beats down upon their play
The youth, now tired, slip into sweet sleep.
Capricious dreams envelope the juvenile psyche-
Forming unexplored arenas with bright visionaries.
Refreshed from the nap, young Kimeti awake
And to their parents they eagerly bolt in haste.
The gathering allows for the sights to be told
and life in Matope cedes much to unfold.
