Okay.... my PS3 is ******** up lately:

Sometimes when I turn it on, I'll get these black lines moving from the bottom of the screen going up... and this loud a** humming noise.

It can either start when I turn my PS3 on, or it'll just occur in the middle of a game. The only way (so far) I've been getting it to stop is by turning it off and coming back to it a few hours later or by playing with the red/yellow/white cords over and over and over again. D:

Any ideas on a fix?

Is the cable plugged into your TV? I get green and purple stripes that go the same direction on my own TV whenever my TV is connected to the cable.

I plug the RCA jacks (is that what they are called) into my TV.... but both TV's have a cable line. But that never bothered my ps3/any other system before...

Any other connections you can try? (HDMI or Component vs. RCA)

If that's happening on multiple TVs, and with other connections (if you have them) it sounds like a problem with your PS3 and you would need to talk to Sony directly about it.

Try different connections or on a different TV like Jawes said. If it happens on another TV if you just try the same cord...it might be the cord. If you try it with another connection and it happens on different TVs...I'd guess it's your PS3. If it happens on just that TV, it might be your TV.
