As always, read, but no posty! Thank you! Adante prowled through the trees, leaving his niece to sleep in the cave. She was a little devil, fiesty and unable to control herself. He had the nasty scratches to prove it. He yawned loudly, flopping under a tree in ear shot of his cave.If she needed him, he'd be there quickly. He really needed so peace and quiet...or maybe some actual contact with an adult lion who could speak...

Aiday wandered around. When you don't have a family or friends, it makes for nice long quiet days. She was in a good mood, a good thing to find her in, being who she was. A good enough mood to where she wouldn't mind finding another lion to talk to. She stopped at a large tree, spotting Adante underneath, "Hello..." she said with a smile.

Adante blinked, glancing over the multicolored female before him. She was sure colorful...Looked kinda like one of those birds he saw from time to time. He smiled at her, keeping his spikes hidden from view. "Hello there stranger..." He bowed his head, before smiling once again. "I am Adante..." Beautiful shade of blue she was...

"Name's Aiday. Nice to meet you Adante," she replied with a smile as well. She was having the luck to meet very dark colored lions. With the current heat she almost felt sorry for them, except that she felt her darkest blue was rather dark too. "Keeping cool?" she asked, noting the shade of the tree on the hot day. It was surprising how much of a difference a little shadow made.

Adante chuckled, tail swaying back and forth. "Aiday. Nice to meet you." He was swaeting under this thick coat of fur, and being black...well that was just an added bonus. "I am trying...but about the only place I can keep cool is my cave...and thats just not a place of refuge anymore..."

Aiday nodded, "It's hard to keep a decent temperature days like this..." She said. She wondered why he couldn't take refuge in his cave, but decided it none of her business to ask.

Adante smiled. "Indeed it is...Though living close to water does cool things off a bit...this forest is probably the coolest place around...but its still warm as can be around here. " He paused, watching the female with intrest. "What brings you here, m'lady?"

Aiday shrugged, "This and that. I'm what most would consider a Nomad. A wanderer," she looked around, "And I suppose today this is where I've ended up."

Adante chuckled. "I am normally the wandering type as well. But recent events have caused me to stop my travels for the moment. I hope to be able to go out again soon." He couldn't very well take his squacking niece out into the lands...She'd get them both killed!

"Oh really?" Aiday inquired, tilting her head in question. She rather liked wandering too much to really stop, making her wonder what circumstances would lead another wanderer to do so.
