It was by accident that he came across her, or at least mostly. He'd been lost in the enjoyment of his most recent conquest, a verbal battle with a male named Ayato that had resulted in one very flustered adult and one very amused Kijani. Man, it was too easy! He was still laughing it up ("Ha! Oh man, I wish I could have saved that to watch later, that look was priceless!") when the scent reached his nose and more importantly, one quarter of his brain.
The young male was looking to reap the benefits of a little mischief making today, nothing out of the ordinary for him. It wasn't that he was lacking in attention growing up, because he had very loving parents, and siblings to play with, it was just an urge that he couldn't explain. He got a rush out of picking verbal spats with others, especially, and thought it to be a game to see who could outwit, outsmart, and out-maneuver who in the game of brain over brawn.
Of course he had brawn on his side too, not MUCH of it, but enough to get in his boyish scuffles and come out with minimal scars.
Kijani smirked as he headed for the watering hole, because he'd caught the scent of a female basking on it's shores, and if there was one thing that Kijani had a true weakness for in these days of his life, it was a pretty face. (Nevermind that he wasn't entirely sure what made them so appealing yet.)
Peering through the grasses as they began to rustle Kijani was pleasantly surprised indeed.
She was, save for some obvious differences, color and marking wise almost a spitting image for himself. The tone with which he greeted her left his grin completely audible.
"Well who'd have thought, my better half has been waiting for me all this time?"
