Ok, since we've all seen the series of Elfen Lied, mainly anime, though I'm almost finished with the whole manga, only about 10 chapters away from it being complete. Well in the anime and in the manga at one point when Yuka gets jealous of Kouta hugging Nyu and turns sharply towards him and Lucy happens to wake up and she hits her, knocking her backwards. When you think it about, Yuka came into contact with Lucy's vectors, yet

-spoiler here-

in the manga in the end, she doesn't give birth to a diclonii... anyone find this odd? I just happened to think about this one night and I was like 'hold up! Wait a moment!' Since it happens in both anime and manga, personally I think Lynn overlooked it by mistake. I just found it rather amusnig to some extent.

Lynn over looking it is a good theory, but then again, The virus was spread to Kurama and that other guy when the vector was sent into their minds .. Maybe that is the only way it is spread? I haven't read the manga in a bit, but from what I can remember I don't think she ever touched kouta that way in the manga or in the anime ..

Actually, this is a good question.

From what I remember reading, the virus only affects males, and doesn't have any effect on females.

Hmm...I had always thought that the virus had to be passed down to someone intentionally, and could only be passed through the brain. Like how Nana had messed with Mariko and Lucy's minds to keep them from using their vectors...she did that purposefully.

Or it could be as King Progdor had said: girls could be, for the most part, immune to the virus, at least if it is transmitted through vectors.

There was also another incident: when Lucy threw Mayu into the forest. I guess one can't really tell if she has the virus or not, considering she hasn't had children...but I rather doubt it. Personally, I don't think Lynn could have overlooked both incidents...Lucy hitting Yuka, and throwing Mayu into the trees. Though it's definitely possible. o.O
