I have a date 4laugh
In two days. I need some ideas for something sweet to do.
Here's what i got planned so far.
As soon as i see her, i'll give her a hug and a kiss on the cheek. Then give her a birthday present. Which will be a webcam. :] It's a bit delayed, but i have never met her before or anything, so i couldn't really give it to her at any other time.
ANYWAY.
I'm quite shy in real life, so i need A LOT of ideas so i can pick and choose what to say and do. Just in case i chicken out from something, i can try something else. Y'know? I want to be sweet, but not corny. Unless it a funny corny, in which case it's ok. Coz i think that's something we can both laugh about.
And i might try to give her something sentimental to me. BUT that really depends on how the day is going.
I really want to ask her out if everything goes well too. :]
SO yeah.
Help please?

- Make her dinner.
- Go to the roof of a building (even if it is your house) and watch the sun go down
- Go play pool
- Just do something that is fun for you.

hmmm... maybe you should hold onto the gift until the end or mid date. for example, i assume you guys are gonna have dinner together, so wait until a conversation ends, don't give it before the convo, cuz then you might lose track of topics to discuss.
i don't really know date ideas. you could do the standard american one: dinner and movie, or vise versa
or you could make her dinner and then go for a walk around town (depending on the weather and scenery, of course)

Ah i should have said i was only doing a day trip, from 12-5 you see.
I seen her yesterday :]
As soon as i met her i gave her a hug and the present (which ended up being four DVDs). We pretty much hit it off straight away, i didn't struggle for conversation like i usually do when i meet someone for the first time. Since i didn't know my way around the city, she showed me where everything was and took me to all the places we decided on going to before hand(Broadway, Circular Quay, Botanic Gardens, tourist-y stuff).
Since World Youth Day was on, there were A LOT of Christians in the city. But they were so awesome, and there was a great atmosphere to it. We were hugging them and chanting with them even though neither of us were religious. And that was the main thing i was worried about for the day but it turned out really good!
And i don't know why but i kissed her in Target at Broadway. What a place for a first kiss! But it kind of just happened. We then went to the park and sat under a tree hugging for an hour or two. And that's when i asked her out (she said yes :] )
Theennnn i gave her my necklace, which i explained to her means a lot to me.
And then we went home :]
But yeah. I don't know why i gave the story, but that's what happened. And it was great! So thanks for the ideas everyone, the one's i didn't use on that date, i'll probably use at a later one. ;]

glad to hear it worked out between you guys! that actually sounds like a ton of fun. like, not too romantic for a first date, but still not JUST the kinda thing you'd do with someone from school. sounds like fun. good luck together 4laugh

Roguey that is so awesome!!!!! I'm so glad you had fun.
Although chanting with a bunch of Christians is a bit odd for a first date, but definitely sounds interesting. Congratulations, hun!!!!
