Oh snap, is out already eek ! Looks like I'ma hafe to start buying comics. I never really used to, just brows through them when my mom went in to the grocery store and have never really purchased any since. Now that I'm 21 and have an income, I think I should try buying some, starting with the Beast Wars comics. I love Beast Wars, so I hope this comic will do justice, which to everyone here's opinion, I think it does.

Kira Yui Yamato1 I'm pretty sure they ARE going to include all of the figures that didn't make it. I saw a picture done by the same people before the comic was shown, and Magmatron, all of them, all the way down to PowerPinch (Who I thought was kind of cool, even if he was just an earwig bug) But from the picture I don't know who the leader will be. Torca, maybe, he was pointing from the back like a leader would XD My bet was on Optimus Minor as the leader, but Torca could definitly fill that role. I saw the picture you were talking about. It's one of the variant covers. xd Well, Torca WAS described as an intelligent leader... Seems to fit the role to me.

I wonder if Leo Convoy would make another appearance. For that matter, I hope we see Waspinator again! xd

So far I have three out of four issues in this mini-series. I am really impressed with this series. They managed to have a lot of Beast Wars characters that weren't in the series the spotlight this time around. There were also appearances by Leo Convoy, Big Convoy, and a few other Japanese Beast Wars characters. Even the Mutant Beasts make an appearance. All this combined with great artwork and story makes me wish this was an ongoing series.

Ug, I find the comic to be dissapointing. The transmetals and Magmatron look great and all, but the furry animals look more like plastic toys of furry animals. Between the flat inks and - and the coloring is really nothing to be proud of. Everything looks dry as Beast Wars season 1 when they could easily be given the vibrance of season 3. As far as plot, the 'chronal displacement' is -terrible- science, really. And it's introducing so many 'new' characters that none of them have yet to show much distinct personality more than they can receive in a twenty five word summary.
It's Beast Wars, sure. But that seems to be the only reason to buy this comic. Not to say there still isn't time for it to turn around.
and IDW has too many variant covers :-O.

I missed the first issue of the Beast Wars comic, but have picked up 2 & 3, and Simon Furman and Don Figueroa are doing a heck of a job with it. I lover the two returning characters in issue three, but i wont name them for those that haven't read it yet. Transformers live on!!!

I heard about the upcoming profile books and how they are going to include characters from the Japanese Beast Wars series. I really like to see what they come up for Leo Convoy and Stampy. The Cyborg Beasts showing up would be awsome too.
