Naddaer glanced around the busy street, it seemed to be a market and a busy day at that. What city was he in, being such a wanderer, the street rat did not remember where he was mostly. Not that it mattered, all the city were the same to him. He did not have a home, or family, so he had to live off the streets and hope to make money or a friend. He had been lucky enough sometimes to get lodgings and food but not recently. Amber eyes looked around at the other drow, none seeming to pay any attention to him at all. This would be the same as any place and he stepped off the road. Reaching into this pockets, he took out three crystal balls. Slowly, he started to juggle them in the air. Next he rolled them around his hands, making it look as if they appeared to move in place. It seemed that some drow were always amazed by the tricks Naddaer did. They were not magic, though he wished to actually learn more of the real magic and have a purpose to use it.

Lira was moving about the market for her usual reasons. Information, relics, potions, anything that could help her in her goal to tame the souls of beasts. Not so much tame as it was to capture them from their once living bodies. She had founds information, but she isn't much of a fighter, and she had not found anything that she could consider approachable yet. But her confirmed location are far from here. She was looking through a vendors amulets, that had a very dull presence of magic. Probably soaked and slathered with some type of magical potion, and they were trying to be sold for magical properties that came from the potions. Meaning they properties would wash off in water, or dull over time. She gave the vendor a dirt look, and he back down in fear. She moved on, not realizing she was following the flickering aura of magic coming for a boy who wanted to gain knowledge of magics. Lira didn't believe in coincidences. Something always happened for a reason. Sometimes only Lloth would know. As she moved along the market place gaining some attention from some of the people. She had some rarer looks. She had copper swifts in her hair, and her eyes were a rare rosen hue. The old house she called home was mostly a blood line of drow. They all had rose eyes and/or copper hair. She had inherited a little of both. She came upon the boy as he was spinning the balls around his hands. She propped her staff against her chest as she started to clap her hands. "That was quiet a feat. I have never seen such an act with such balls." She gripped her staff again, having an idea. This boy looked as though he had no true home, and he did look a little hungry. Perhaps she could use him to get a hold of a creature a little ways from the this area. She had done so many times, using people, but they have all failed so far. No worry from her back. She sends them in first. If they slay the beast she would take the soul. Maybe this boy could help her after all. He seemed to have a will for magic, she could almost sense it. Maybe he could sense her own dabbling in the arts, if her weapon of choice was not clue enough. She could be considered a mage, though she would probably kill you for stating as much. She was a necromancer, yet she had not learned to summon the dead, or the such yet. But she had a nice grip on using magics its self. She could at least help this boy with the basics. She was sure.

Juggling always helped Naddaer think and with the lack of others approaching him to watch, he did just that. He kept the crystals dancing and spinning around his hands. Sure he could do this simple trickery, but he wanted to learn more real magic. He knew some but knew he had to go to a school to learn that. The problem about that is that since he had severed ties with his family, he'd have to figure another way to get trained.
His juggling would have to do for now, he sighed. Naddaer looked around at others that walked near him and studied them. He hadn't anything special about him besides his eyes being a golden color. Though sometimes not standing out was a good thing in such a society.
Golden eyes fell on the drow female that stopped near him. Such rose eyes she had and interesting copper colored hair. He rose a brow and grinned when she started to clap. "Well it really is not that hard, one can learn easily if one put their mind to it." True it was that he had no home and was defiantly hungry.
Naddaer noted her staff and could only guess that she had a liking to magical arts. He had wished to have a staff of his own one day. His guess for her was that of necromancer, the staff being of bones was such a clue. He wondered why exactly this female had stopped though. His hands tossed the crystals up and caught them one after another. "Would you like to try?"

Lira looked at the boy with mild disgust. “No, I have no time for such trivial acts of adolescence. Merely watching is all the time I really have for such things. I suppose I should get straight to the point. Time is of up most importance. One never gets time back, you see. I was pondering on having you assist me with a fairly small task. I need some assistance with a mark, you see. Perhaps you heard the rumors of the create shadow fang resting in the cave a few miles North of here? I desire to snuff the life right out from under its wretched paws. Of course, as you can see, I am not someone who would be able to do so, alone.”
She looked around at a few of the passer by’s that were giving her odd looks. “You looked like someone that might be useful for my conquest. I could, in return, giving you a hot meal to eat? You look as though you could use one. Maybe even a bed for the night. Im sure you will find my offer to be of equal value for your service, if not greater.” Of course, if he died in the attempt to kill the beast, she would just go find some other poor unfortunate soul, another street rat to do her bidding. Such was life on the streets.

Naddaer rose a brow at the female's look, seemed she did not like his suggestion of trying juggling. He shrugged and listened to her, nodding as she spoke. "Well, ironically I seem to wast a lot of time." A grin came to his face. "Though I have heard of what you speak of, the rumors. I haven't been in that direction before though."
He too glanced at the other drow that were giving them looks, he never cared much what others thought of him. "Me, useful?" He laughed a little. " Sorry, I have never been called that before, its usually useless. I am quite hungry though and a place to sleep that is not the streets is tempting." He stopped juggling and put the crystals in his pockets. "I'll help you." He had no intentions of dieing this night, hopefully whatever it was wouldn't be to hard to beat.

"I would assume I have gotten ahead of myself. You have not proved yourself useful yet, just... you may. But sitting here juggling, its a waste of space, no matter how entertaining it may be. You should do something with your..." She had to catch herself. He had said yes. It would not help her if she were to start speaking poorly of him... to his face. She would need to keep her temper in check if she wished to go through with the plans that she had.
"Well, I haven't been their myself. I have seen the direction though. They smell coming from the chambers entrance reeks of dead rotting flesh. It gets by blood boiling. It will be a very eventful night." She turned around and started to walk. "You... do have some kind of weapon?" How could she have missed such a detail. The reef-raf didn't appear to be wielding any sort of arm, but perhaps he could hide it? If he didn't, Lira was just leading the Shadowfang a tasty morsel, a body to add to its decaying collection.

Naddaer grinned. "Well my juggling at least gets me to a means of money which will at least provide some food or shelter for myself. I would say it isn't a complete waste of time or space." He smirked some when her words stopped short, guessing she was getting a head of herself when he had already agreed to try to be of some sort of service. It would be more entertaining then his normal juggling at least.
His head nodded up and down, having only seen the direction as well. "I have smelt that smell as well, seems many have died, I hope we are more lucky than them." When she had started to walk, he followed as well, and sighed after she spoke. "Ah a weapon, none actually. Though one of my juggling crystals seems to have some sort of magical force." He shifted through his pockets for a moment. "Well and a small dagger, just incase."
((Ah, a note of his weapon. Part of my hops for him is that he will find a staff. The staff will be missing a crystal, held by a gold dragon call. And the said crystal he has will fit to the staff.))

Lira was very dissappointed at the choices of weapons this young male had on hand. What did he plan to do with a small dagger against what ever resided in that cave? And the crystal balls? While they could be fun to watch, he would gain nothing but anger from the shadow fang. But this was how she got through life, she would let others take her falls. If he died, she would move on and hope the next person could help her. Males were much more expendable than females, in that no one really thought much of a male who had gone missing.
"Well lets hope the blade is sharpened. Obviously I will need to take up the rear, and keep an eye on you. For I fear it has been far to long since I have actually held onto a blade. I can do many things from afar though! So this task will rest solely upon you. But your reward will be great, don't you think?" She smiled coyly at him.
"I say we make haste, the longer we wait... they longer your stomach will wait for a nice meal. And when I say nice..." She patted a pouch tucked away in her belt and the sound of many coin jingled out. "... I mean a nice meal."

Naddaer shrugged after he described his choice of few weapons, if that. He had never used that dagger though it was his only true weapon. The male had yet to attend the academy for mages yet, it would be hard to get there houseless. Neither was he joking of his crystal he believed to hold power. One could say it was just a thought, but he had a gut feeling that it possessed magical properties, though that it was not complete and thus powerless for now. Yet neither of those were his true weapons but he would not tell the female. That was part of his act one could say, it was true he lived on the streets and preformed magic. Though none sensed that a strong magical force resided in the young male, the reason he left home. This force also had a way of showing at the right times as well.
"I hope so too, it should be quite sharp, I have yet to use it since I acquired it." Naddaer said nothing more of his plan of attack and nodded to the female. "Ah, a nice meal does sound very rewarding."

"Well you better be ready to cut through flesh with it, or I'm afraid the Shadow Fang will be ripping right through yours." She chuckled as she walked away from the market towards the direction of the cave. She was silent for most of the time, focusing on her energies, thinking of several plans of escape had things start to go poorly for the boy. She had no desire to help him at all. She had no desire to even cast a spell towards the beast, she wanted this boy to do all the work. but then there was the fact he only had a blade... she figured she would at least need to do something of aid on some point.
"well are ya ready kid." They were standing at the lip of the cave. The smell of decaying flesh was thick in the air. Their was a soft draft of air pulsating. Lira could feel it as she had focused her body to be aware of the most minute changes. The beast was sleep. The faint sound of breathing wass accompanying the pulsating wing.
"Lloth shines on us. The beast slumbers. If we are quick and quite, we can take it out. I say... if you can pinpoint its juggler vein in its neck... you can pierce it, and it will be a job well done, quickly as well."

Naddaer shrugged again, he wasn't honestly ready to use his weapon. He more had it for looks, his real weapon was the magic that slept within him, that always seemed to come out when he needed it most, ah if only he could get proper training. "We'll see I guess." He said with a rather care free grin on his face, an odd thing to see on a drow. As they walked, he held the dagger in his left hand which was his off hand. In his right hand, he gripped one of his juggling spheres. He was unsure of the why though.
He only nodded in response, not sure if making any noise was a good idea. Naddaer took in a short breathe, noting the smell of decay that floated in the air. After a few moment, he realized that the beast was sleeping. "So it would seem. Let us hope it does not awake before then." He started to take light steps towards the beast, making not a sound.
