I was raised catholic and growing up have adhered to a strong line of rules and beliefs based on christian principles. Spirituality means a lot to me.

Ok so I will take this time to prepare for all of the yelling at I will get for what I'm about to post. *sigh* Ok I'm good. I don't believe in the Bible. I believe in God, but the Bible is a lie to me. It contradicts itself several times and leaves so many things unexplained that I can't trust it. I do go to church, I do believe in God, I do Pray, and I am not an Atheist!! Feel free to hate me: I am a Communist-loving liberal who supports gay marriage, abortion, sex before marriage, free health care and I don't believe in the Bible. I am prepared to be egged now.

I wont egg you! I absolutely loved this comment! You are what you are, that is what you believe in, and proud about it! Woo! I mean I see there are some things that I would agree with here, and disagree, but that's ok. smile (For one, I agree with you on the bible thing.)

hmmm... well this is a very complicated subject.. I do believe in the powers of the universe and I hope there is a bigger cause. I do not believe in the bible simply because it was written by a man... I do believe in the choice of being good and bad... but there are too many shades of grey in between to be either one or the other.... What i do have faith in and pray for is people.... I believe in people and I believe that if you try hard enough you as a person can effect the world around you for the better.... so umm yeah... lol.. and last time i went to church...umm about 5 weeks ago for sunday service

im catholic, but i believe that there are many... higher beings. Cause I feel that all that work for just one guy is too much, even if he is god. so i think he got some helpers, no, not the angels. i mean others. but don't listen to me, the only time i set foot in a church was when i was baptise. i hardly even know anything about my religion.

And now, for my confusing downgrade on the religious ladder.
My moms a Protestant Christian but acts more like an agnostic, but my dad's Roman Catholic. So, through some odd law, I was born a Roman Catholic. I dind't consent to it or anything, I was just born into it. My mom hates going to church, but because my dad grew up Roman Catholic, my sisters and I would be forced up early every morning, trucked to Sunday School, then forced to sit through church when we were younger. This started before i was old enough to know I had the right to object whatever I wanted, just to let you know. A good pal of mine from aforementioned Sunday School imformed me one day that we don't have to believe the garbage the Roman Catholics spilled to us. This was around the time I was realizing the preposterousness of Jesus' doings, and so, for a few years, I was agnostic. But still had to go to Sunday School and church. Somewhere along the lines, I stopped believing in God, Jeusus, Satan, and so on altogether. My sisters soon followed suit after i explained to them the impossibility, and in a nutshell, we all became athiests. But we still had to go to church and Sunday school. After a while, my dad stopped making us go. I don't know if my mom had a say in it or not, but I figured it was because he realized none of us liked going at all. I also assumed he knew we were athiests. Apparently not. One day at dinner a few months ago, religion was brought up as a conversation. I said I was athiest, and my dad said, "No, your not." After a brief discussion on my religion or lack thereof, he gave up and I 'won' so to say. I'm not liberal or anything (I'm too young to even work full time by one year), I think people should stop using God as an excuse to kill people, and I also think they shouldn't make such a big deal about abortion and stuff like that. What people choose is what they choose. There is no God telling you to kill people for not having the same whatever as you, and there's no devil inside homosexuals or people who choose to abort their unborn babies. But that's a rant for another topic.
