So, I've been sewing (off and on) and I am working with my own pattern. I love the body pattern (something like a gingerbread man), but the head is absolutely not what I want. ; n; It's flat, and I'd rather it more round. Kinda like a ball.

I had at first worked with Babylondonstar's pattern, and I sewed the head okay, but the body didn't sit well with me, so I made my own. And after not liking my head pattern, I tried to use the head for my body, but it's too big and too roundish.

Does anyone know of a good pattern? Something kind of like teamTHRASH's work. ( Boy, do I love their work. * u* )

Can someone please help me? XD

I don't know what kind of patterns you've tried. I just had a look at teamTHRASH's plushies now (ZOMB! Awesomeness!) and I think they use two circles and a strip for their heads. This way the head is constructed like a very shallow cylinder, and it gets a bit rounded out with the stuffing.

It's just my guess.

So make two circles (or ovals) of the size you want for the head and then a narrowish strip to join the two circles. The strip length will be the circumference of the circles (plus a little bit of overlap for a seam).

I think it might have something to do with the neck

@Seamstress;; Aah, you think that's what it is? * u* I will have to try it. Lol.

@Daisuki;; Yeah, I was thinking it was the chin. I'd like to do a chin, but that would require... I dunno what. I'm just quite new to this whole thing. XD

Instead of sewing two identical pieces of fabric together to create a flat face, why not sew THREE? One large one for the back of the head. Two for the front, divided down the noseline. That way, you have more of a round face, and you can even add shape to a nose, brow ridges, lips, chin, etc.

Teamtrash utilizes a flattened can shape, where two face shapes, cut in any way you want, are connected by a long strip that is sewn to the circumference to both face shapes. Hope this makes sense.

Try looking at stuffed animals for inspiration, and pay close attention to which seamlines produce which shapes. Once you've understood a few, you can use them to create any projects!

you might want to try the simple plushy pattern
tho I mostly use the crafting felt
and some of the fabric tac glue as of lately
to glue on the head the hair after I got the hair put together
so...
I am going to post the link hope it helps

I think it's like seamstress said.
If you're currently using BabyLondonstar's pattern then make adjustments to that.
You know the pieces for the chin and two strips in the hair color?
Make those thinner.
I think that should make the head less round.
I hope that helped. ^^
