The shows been on for some time now and the toy are finally out so what are your over all thoughts about Transformers Animated.
It has the broad story line G1 offered whit human characters that add to the over all story whit out being terribly annoying. The toys are unique compared to the toys of the last 3 shows. There simple enjoyably whit no gimmicks the way transformers should be.

I haven't bought any of the Animated toys, but the show does amuse me. I think it's all the tributes it pays to G1. I don't know. And the Megatron and Starscream scene in the ending credits of the last season 2 episode sealed the deal for me. It can't compare to G1, but I love it very much. <3

I'll make a decision after I've picked up season one. I'm seen a few eps hear and there, and the toys are interesting, but I want to see the full thing before I make my final decision.

As I missed the Unicron Trilogy in its entirety, I can't comment on the lack of a line-wide gimmick.
Overall, I'm in love with the toys. I've personally decided to buy pretty much every figure (except Voyager Bulkhead). They just really appeal to me style-wise.
I love the show. Absolutely love it. I like it better than G1, though not as much as BW (BW gets massive seniority). I don't much care for the human villains, although I liked them when they teamed up. The first season was all kinds of awesome, although the second season was kinda filler-full. They should have waited and produced that one a bit more. It was still great, just not as good as season 1.

The toys are very cool and I enjoyed the show. I wasn't too keen on it at first but it grew on me as I continued to watch the episodes. It was far better than I thought it would be; very amusing and enjoyable. It wasn't always great but they did a great job overall and yes I very much appreciate the ties to G1.

Having bought Lockdown and Blackarachnia, I'm digging the toys so far. This is the definitive Blackarachnia figure now in my opinion.
And Lockdown is the closest thing we're probably going to get to Death's Head, and rocks in his own right. I love how they engineered a deluxe to stand eye to eye with the next size class up, it really makes him imposing.

I was a bit skeptical at first, but once I watched a couple of episodes I really got into it. The animation took a while to get used to, but the story is good, there is a large variety of characters, plenty of homages to the original, and enough elements to give it it's own unique feel.
As for the toys. I've been pretty impressed with everything so far. I figured that it would have been difficult to translate the animated characters into fully transformable figures, yet they managed to pull it off. Very nicely done. Hope to see more.

I was unsure about it at first, with just seeing the previews of course before it officially aired. But now i Love it!! The tributes it pays to G1 are awsome! It doesn't completely compare to G1 but it has it's own uniqueness enough to stand on it's own.
I have some of the toys, like Optimus, Ratchet, and Bumblebee. I haven't had a chance to get the others yet.

I recently was offered a petition to try and keep Animated going after season 3. I do so hope it works.
