Fish rubbed his chin self-consciously. "Fishy babies?" he asked, narrowing his eyes at her. "None. I'm... uh... not like that." He frowned, deep in thought, trying how to best explain to Persy that, despite his apparent age, he seemed to lack any sort of interest in the opposite sex. And... how did one explain the strange chemistry between himself and one of his roommates, the mutual attraction they were both too shy to act on?
He fumbled for words. "I... Ah... Er..." How had Poseidon explained it? Oh, right!
Fish suddenly became extremely interested in his feet. His cheeks flushed red, embarrassed by something he couldn't explain but sensed was somehow unusual. "Poseidon says its a Greek hero thing."

"Not like that, huh?" Persy smirked, ready to offer some snide remark about birth control or something of the like, but it was then that she realized how awkward Fish began to present himself.
Oh. So it wasn't like that.
"Yeah, I knew a lot of Greek heroes," Persy responded, nodding. "Granted, most of them had facial hair by the time they jumped on the bandwagon, but hey, I guess you're just ahead of your time." She figured that none of this would make sense to the poor kid, so she just laughed and ruffled his blonde mop. "Not that I didn't see it coming, but you probably could have made any girl just as happy. Then again, you probably are the girl, of the two, but..."
Persy couldn't help it. She burst into giggles. This was just too good.

Fish couldn't help but be confused. He stared at Persy like she had just sprouted a second head.
"What are you talking about?" he asked.

Persy stopped her laughing long enough to stare at Fish like he'd grown a second head. Then again, with everything else she'd seen the Players do, she wasn't sure she'd be all that surprised.
"You haven't read any of the myths? Most Greek Heroes were gay for each other at one point or another. 'It's a Greek Hero thing'."

"Gay?" asked Fish. He'd heard that word before, knew vaguely what it meant... he'd just, he'd never made the connection between Poseidon's explanation and the phrase.
So that was it, huh? Well, now it made sense. So there was... nothing wrong with him? Relief flooded over Fish. He grinned at Persy. "That's it?" he asked. He supposed he was a Greek hero - Poseidon was Greek, and Fish was his prophet -his champion, so to speak. "That's normal?"
Fish whooped in victory, leapt into the air, waved hastily to Persy before bolting off down the street to catch up with the rest of his squad. "Thanks, Miss Floros!"
