  There were five countries within the land of Lysianthis. To the North was Marsolan. The South, Rodendri. The East held the land of Azelae, and the West, Thasol. In the middle of the land was Glavendrei.
Recently, the king of Glavendrei, also known as the High King of Lysianthis, passed on from a terrible illness that eventually destroyed his immune system, and caused his body to shut down. He left his son, Truin, to take over the kingship in his place. About that same time the land was involved in a never ending war over the ruler-ship of the different countries.
Azalae sent an army of thousands of soldiers against Thasol, attempting to take over the country. The troops suddenly stopped in the middle of a battle and looked to the sky. An army of magical beings had come down and were attacking the Azaleian soldiers, while trying to keep the Thasolan soldiers from harm.
The angelic creatures were driven back into the desert by the soldiers, and explosions were seen far and wide. After that day, no one saw any of those creatures again. The High King sent troops from his country to the weakest land, Thasol, to drive back the remaining soldiers and keep it from further harm, just in case the other countries chose to attack it again.
Though the danger hasn't yet arrived, word has come to the King that one of the countries has been raising a gigantic army, and will be attacking soon, though it may yet be many months. When the king found this out, he called Kaide Demara, his father's old confidante, to his conference room, and told her of this turn of events. Soon she was on the road, in search of a group of mercenaries that would band together with her and go to find this army of such great power. They would also find some way to protect the other countries, and make peace.

җ1җ Okay. I want literacy. I do not mean just making your print small, giving yourself a color, and then calling yourself literate. That is not literacy. Literacy is good spelling, good punctuation, more than just five lines per post. But I like italics for thought, "bold and quotations for speech", with the punctuation inside the quotation marks," a posting color, a post header (doesn't absolutely need it, but it would be nice), and having your size between 9 and 11. I realize I said that it doesn't need the size small to be literate, but it looks prettier than large font. ^w^ Oh, and no 1337 speak unless it's used jokingly, and only in [[OOC]]. Mkay? Mkay.
җ2җ Do not randomly disappear. If you think you might randomly disappear, or get tired of the RP, or not reply to someone if they take a while to post when they do post, then don't join. I realize this is strict, but I get sick of it. It has happened in most of my roleplays, and the roleplays I have joined. But if you are going to need to go somewhere but want to come back to a profile, please let me know you are going somewhere, and I will leave your character there. Say they're M.I.A. or something. =D And, if no one posts for a little while, don't automatically assume it's dead until at least two months have passed. Yes, I realize it's a long time, but some people have computer problems or real life problems, or both at the same time.
җ3җ Okay, now, I really hate godmodding/powerplaying/etc, Mary-Sues/Gary-Stus, and too stereotypical characters. Please avoid these at all costs, or people won't enjoy roleplaying with you, and if I get complaints you may be removed from the roleplay.
җ4җ Yes, you may reserve a character, but not for too long. I will not reserve for more than three days, unless you have a good reason for not sending the profile to me.
җ5җ Don't doubt this - I created this RP, and so you have to listen to me! Okay? If you don't.. well... you will most probably end up in the black list. And since I or one of my friends created everything about this RP, you can't take it - you can borrow the profile skeleton, but be sure to say that one of us did it, okay?
җ6җ Don't go past PG-13. Just don't, okay? Not here, not in PMs. And I mean cybering; you can have your characters fight past PG-13 in PMs, but I don't see why you'd want to, unless you're really into extremely gory things. But, on those notes, I do encourage both romance and fighting, as long as the fighting is mostly verbal. And without too much cussing, we don't want '*BLEEP* you *BLEEPINBLEEPITYBLEEPBLEEPBLEEP*! I *BLEEPIN* hate you!'. No one spoke like back in our own medieval times, so why would they in a medieval fantasy roleplay? Think Lord of the Rings. No one speaks like that in it, so follow J.R.R. Tolkien's example and write things correctly. Use intelligent verbal abuse not crappy verbal abuse from modern fantasies, real life, etc.
җ7җ Don't alter the profile skeleton (except for the things like 'POSTINGCOLOR' that are meant to be altered), unless the BBCode is messed up. If it's a certain way, then that's the way it's supposed to be. Period.
җ8җ Please don't post until I tell you that you're accepted. If I tell you that you can post, even before I add your character to the character thread, you can post. Just as long as I say you're in.
җ9җ I have the right to change the rules/front page whenever I feel like it, or to change something about your profile if it doesn't fit in correctly with the story. Simple as that.
җ10җ Real people pictures, please. This may include some celebrities, but ones that aren't extremely well known. You should know who most of those are. I mean, no Brad Pitt or Julia Roberts, that kind of thing. If you are having trouble finding someone that looks like the set character looks, then find an art piece that is good quality that looks like it fits the character. DeviantArt is a good source of photos and art pieces, just make sure you don't claim anything as yours if it isn't.
җ11җ I claim the right to refuse any character sheets I don't like, or I don't feel like you are portraying correctly. I can also ask you to change pictures, ages, etc..
җ12җ Please PM me with your Character Skeleton(s)--you may have up to three characters if there are not enough people joining--and make the title of the PM one of the names of the countries. I won't accept any Character Skeletons that do not have the said title in the PM.

Elven and Human/Angel heritage;
Kaide has long, wavy, dark auburn hair, and tan skin with a light amount of freckles. Her eyes are a bright shade of green, wide set, and almond shaped, like most elven eyes. She bears the same tattoo as three others, but hers is red and is on her right hip. Previously worked as a mercenary for the high king, and an assassin for the high lords. She is a red Magi, and an archer.
*Iona
Dryad(or Forest Nymph);
Iona has shoulder length, dark brown hair, and slightly green-tinted, pale skin. She has large, intelligent azure eyes that are very wise, though she looks so young. She is approximately five feet three inches tall, and has a very slight frame. There isn't much known about this Dryad, but the king feels she will be of some help to this group of mercenaries.
Sukaida
Elven;
Sukaida has chin length, choppy red hair and a healthy tan. A small, peculiar tattoo runs down from her right eye, which is a dark shade of grey, the other eye being a silvery shade of grey. She stands at average height, and is thin, but muscular, as most elves are. Skai can use magick, but she prefers to fight with metal weapons, such swords, axes, and spears.
Sanura
Human heritage, but has other blood mixed in;
Sanura has brown hair, hanging to just below her shoulders, with reddish tints in it, and she is fairly pale. Her eyes are a friendly shade of brown, with thick lashes. She uses magick freely, though only for good.
- She has a wand to which she is very loyal, and uses it to store her power so it is easier to access.
җMear(Mearvanuleinia)/Meevsy
Elven, with a small amount of human blood;
Mear has long, white hair, that falls in waves past her waist, and golden tan skin. Her eyes are a silver-grey color, and she bears the same tattoo as Sukaida, though it is black and is on the center of her chest. She is a silver Magi, though she can control some other Magicks as well.
- She spends a lot of time as an old human woman, her other personality, known as "Meevsy," and lives in a deserted farm area along a road to a nearby town.
Cassi
Human;
Cassi has sandy blonde hair, that hangs to her shoulders and a bit below, and pale, freckled skin. Her eyes are almost a turquoise shade of green, and she is a skinny girl, and a bit taller than Iona. Cassi is a swordsman, trained by her father for several years, before his death. She is the youngest of the group at fourteen years of age, but her skill with the sword will come in handy to the group, not to mention her skill in patching up armor.
җRiesa
Human;
Riesa has orangeish-brown hair, straight, that is fairly long but she normally has it in a low pony-tail, her skin is a slightly pale tone , and she has freckles across her cheeks and nose. Her eyes are olive green, she is fairly thin, but still healthy for her height of five feet, five inches. Riesa is a thief who commonly dresses as a boy, and calls herself Reece. There are reasons behind this, but she prefers not to disclose this information to people she doesn't really know. She fights with her trusty dagger.
*Lilith
Dryad(or Forest Nymph);
Lilith has long, dark green hair, normally pulled back in a braid, and with bangs framing her face. Her eyes are a warm shade of blue-grey, and her skin is pale green, with freckles spilling lightly across her nose and cheeks. She is fairly tall and thin, and is a very good archer as well as Green Magi. She is very motherly and protective to her friends, as if they are her own children. Though she looks to be a young woman, she is in her mid hundreds, so thusly already knows much about the world.
Maro
Elven;
Maro has long silver blonde hair, that is normally pulled back at the side like most elves like to do, his skin is very pale(Which is an odd thing because he and his sister, Sukaida, are both from the darker skinned elven race.). He has a tattoo the same as the three girl's, just it's gold and lies on his lower back. Maro's eyes are a pale shade of blue, with golden flecks here and there, and he is tall with a thin frame, though he has lithe muscles, like that of one who swims instead of lifting heavy things. He is a healer, or White magi. Some call him a Paladin.
Solan
Human;
Solan has black hair that hangs to just below ear length, and dark tan skin. His eyes are an orange-ish shade of brown, similar to Riesa's hair color, and he is tall and slim, as well as slightly muscular. He is a swordsman, and has a small amount of magickal power in the bronze rank. Solan is a bounty hunter that wouldn't even be helping the king out if it weren't for the large amount of gold being handed over in the event of their success. Though he seems to be a tough man on the outside, he hates to hurt those who are weaker than himself.
җLeidan
Human with a very small amount of Elven blood;
Leidan has dark auburn hair that is cut a little choppy(he cuts it himself), and falls past his shoulders(usually worn in a ponytail), and golden tan skin. Has a small cross-shaped tattoo underneath his right ear. His eyes are soft brown, with a gold tone trough them. He is tall and healthy, leanly muscular. He is a pickpocket/jack of all trades, including thievery, pickpocketing, fighting, knitting, and charming women.
- Leidan is Riesa's older brother.
җZelik
Valevi;
Zelik has short, choppy, maroon hair, with longer strands framing his face, and is very pale, constantly wearing shaded spectacles, and he has slightly longer than normal canine teeth. He is average height for a man, and thin, though very strong. Zelik is a traveling Valevi, who has been on his own for a while, and is a very strong warrior, as well as a strong Pink Magi.
җJosuhn
Elven;
Josuhn has black, almost blue, long hair, normally pulled back into a pony-tail, and has dark tan skin(He's Kaide's half-brother). His eyes are turquoise with orange flecks, and he is fairly tall and muscular. He has a tattoo of a leaf, in black, at the base of his neck. Johsuhn is a warrior, currently in the High King's army, but will join Kaide's band of mercenaries later on in the story.
General Alan
Human;
Alan has longish, platinum blonde hair, held back with a black ribbon elegantly, and he has fairly pale skin. His eyes are pale blue, almost like ice, and is tall and muscular. Alan is the General of the High King's army, and is a strict dictator, as well as ambassador to other countries. He is going to meet up with Kaide and the band about three towns into the journey.
Truin
Human;
Truin has short, elegantly cut brown hair, and grey eyes, as well as a tall, muscular build. He isn't as large as Alan, because his muscles are more lithe, like a runners. He has slightly tan skin, and one of his ears is pierced. Truin is the High King of the land, and resides in the capital of Glavendrei, though he currently is staying with his army in Thasol.
Elric
Valevi;
Elric has dark red hair, that falls to his shoulders in choppy layers, with very pale, almost white, skin. He has piercings in both ears, filled with silver rings, and constantly wears black and purple clothing. He has been a traveling Valevi for the last century, and is friends with Zelik, though he hasn't seen Zelik in a few years. Elric is a great archer, and is an Orange Magi.

 Elven
Elves have extremely good vision, hearing, and are in touch with all of their senses to the extreme. They have pointed, slightly longer ears than human ears, and they commonly have wide set, almond shaped eyes. They are agile, fast, and very clever among other things.
Human
These do not need to be explained. They are just as human as you and me IRL. Just imagine Humans in Medieval times, just ones that live around other races.
Valevi
Valevi are like a mix of the commonly thought of vampires and elves. They are not evil, nor undead, and are probably some of the friendliest of all of the races in Lysianthis. They are slightly sensitive to light, burning their skin easily if in the sun for many hours, and their canine teeth are slightly longer than a humans.
Angel
These are creatures from the heavens that came down years ago to battle with the humans. They have powers in white magick, fly, are very agile, and commonly are tall, with fair skin and hair.
Dryad
Dryads live in the forests around Lysianthis, they are commonly known as Nymphs to their own race, and have skin ranging between white with a green tint, to dark, forest green. Almost the entire race have very high magickal strengths, especially in the rank of Green magick. They are said to be the kindest, most friendly race in Lysianthis, though there are a few that are not as nice.
Mixed Races~
Human/Elven
These mixed people have the strengths that they inherit from their parents, which are toned down a bit. They aren't quite as agile, clever, or fast, and have shorter pointed ears, and less wide-set eyes.
Angel/Elven
These people have greater strengths than their parents, because the mixing of the two most powerful races strengthens their DNA to an extent of supernatural that Lysianthis doesn't normally see.

 җThere are nine ranks of lesser magicks. None of these nine ranks are stronger than the other, only the people that use them have varying strengths. All magi have the ability in their genetic code to use any of these magicks(see white and beige), but sometimes they don't realize it and focus only on one or two of the ranks. There are two separate ways to go for each rank; there is usage of it for good, and for evil.
Here are the ranks according to color җ
җChocolate Brownҗ - Training in all colors, but only little dabs here and there.
җOrangeҗ - Controls health. Be it for plants, animals, or people, they can make healthy, in the case of good users, or make sick, in the case of evil users.
җPinkҗ - Can use love potions, charms, and good feelings. This can be an advantage and a disadvantage for either of the users. They can be used to charm an enemy and make him fall in love with someone who is good, or the exact opposite.
җIndigoҗ - This is the rank of magick artistry. You can use it to decorate, or paint, or sculpt. Users of this rank have the ability to change their own appearances. It is difficult for this rank to be used in an evil way, but it can be done if the user is very strong.
җBlueҗ - These users can use water and ice to their own advantage. Water can be used to hydrate things that are in need of it, or ice can be used to cool down a person who has a deep fever; but it can also be used to drown and freeze.
җGreenҗ - This rank uses power of mother nature to it's advantage. The strength of the trees, the power from the soil, vines, plants, etc. These things are all used to bring advantage or disadvantage people and animals. Dryads almost always have this power naturally when they are born.
җBronzeҗ - This rank uses the power of light (or solar energy), and flame. It can be used as just plain light, or fire, depending on your own limit of power. Light can be used to blind your enemy's eyes while you capture them, or fire can be used to destroy them.
җSilverҗ - Manipulating the weather comes in handy when in a large battle. If you are strong enough you can change the odds of your winning the battle. You can call up a thunderstorm, or rain and snow, or hail, or you can make the light shine so brightly off your armor that your enemy has trouble seeing you, or even make the night come faster and cover your army in darkness to hide them from enemy eyes.
җWhiteҗ - These users are good in all ranks. If they are good magi, they can use all of the good ranks to their advantage, and the same with the evil magi. These users can also handle larger amounts of power, and don't need anything to channel their magick, while other magi sometimes have to use things around them, or wands, or books, etc.
җ And now the highest ranks will be explained to you:җ
җGold / Blackҗ - These ranks are the absolute highest that a simply good magi, or simply evil magi can come to be. It takes a great amount of time to become one of these magi unless you are one of the rare people that are born as one. These magi are the most respected of either side, and can use all magick to their own extent, which is practically endless. Very few magick users make it to this rank, for if you call on too much magick by yourself, it is possible to simply burn the magick right out of your system, or even kill yourself. Golden magi can use any of the good magick and make an oath to only use good magic, can heal and provide in the blink of an eye. Black magi can use any of the evil magick and choose to only use evil magick, can kill, can torture, etc, just as fast.
җ Last but not least is the Red Magi. Red magi are the most rare of any magi in the world as they are incredibly powerful, and only those with extremely high tolerance for magick and a huge amount of talent can become one. There are only about twenty to thirty known Red Magi to have ever been recorded, though some people believe that there are more than most people think and these magi just hide themselves well. Red Magi have the ability to use both the Golden magick and Black magick.

Kaide stared at the sky from her current position. She was sitting on a large boulder between two trees, enjoying the morning sun as it shined on her face. She sighed after a moment and stood, taking a few seconds to brush some leaves and dirt off her dusky blue pant legs. She looked up and stared down the trail. There was a fork about a mile or so down the path. Not quite sure which way she wanted to go, she placed her hand on her hip and blew a wisp of wavy hair out of her face.
Eventually she decided that she would decided later, and started walking in the direction of the fork in the road. It took her only a matter of minute before she reached it. She pulled a scroll from her waist pack, unbinding it and rolling it open. The names and descriptions listed on the scroll were all written in a flowing script, telling her which people she should be looking for.
Sighing in annoyance, she wondered just exactly which of those many people listed was the one she should search out first. Truin hadn't exactly been precise when he told her to go find these people. "Oh well." She sighed once more, just because, and rolled the scroll back up, reapplying the binding spell before shoving it back into her pack. Apparently she didn't need to search out any certain person, so she decided on the left side of the fork and began walking down the path, her black cloak flowing behind her in the breeze.
