It was late afternoon when Sirene stopped the car in the parking lot just outside the park. Most of the good places in the shade were taken so the guardian was just happy to find one close by that she and Yuki didn't have to walk too far to get to the lake.

"Well, we are here. Come on Yuki. I'm sure you will enjoy yourself if you try." Sirene smiled sliding out of the car and turning to get the back seat where she had placed the basket of food.

Yuki just shot a glare at her guardian as she slid out of the car and started to walk away. This was her first time here but the way Sirene spoke about it, she almost knew it by heart. And, just as they had spoken, a large shady oak tree by the lake was their destination.

"Here!" Yuki called out looking back at her guardian before running off to attempt to climb the branches.

Harriet stared cheerfully around the park as he and Alice walked through it. Well, as HE walked and Alice bounced. The angelic girl, her hair up in a ponytail at the nape of her neck, and wings fluttering behind her, was quite excited to be out and able to play, and hopefully even find some other children to associate with.

So far, her only contact had been with Bella, Harriet, and a few shop keepers. Though she did like her father and their next door neighbor, she really did want to see some other kids and get to play with them. She also wanted to be able to try and climb a tree, as those seemed really fun out in the wild, unlike the ones in the entrance way to their apartment building.

The blonde man grinned as he watched his daughter bounding through the grass. The lavender overall shorts had definitely been a good idea, he thought, watching as she ran and laughed up ahead of him. A skirt or dress like she'd worn before would be too awkward with how active she was, and long pants would just get trashed. Honestly, the girl would be torture on lots of 'nice' clothes as she grew.

Grinning over her shoulder, as she watched her dad walk behind her, Alice felt proud. The girl had actually gotten her Dad to wear something quite casual-blue jeans and a black t-shirt with matching boots-rather than one of his top hats and fancy coats. Though known by the title of Hatty, and even a common enough wearer of top hats to have sacrificed one to save her-though she didn't know that-the man did look a little odd wearing one at a park, and the child was quite proud that she'd been able to succeed in getting him to leave it. In all of their trips to the mall, she'd never seen anyone else with one on, and she was sure that the park would be no different.

As they neared the oak tree, the reborn messenger squeaked in delight as she saw another girl going to climb the branches as well. "Yay! Daddy, look, there ARE other kids here!" she exclaimed, before rushing ahead to say greet the other person.

"Hallo there!" the girl called, looking up at Yuki as she began to climb the branches.

Yuki had succeed in getting out of setting up the blanket and food that Sirene had brought. It wasn't that she was rude or anything but today, she just wanted to be the kid she appeared to be.

Standing before the large oak tree, branches of all shapes and sizes came from it inviting anyone up into the secrets of the higher levels. Not to mention that some of the best starting points were the old branches that now hit the ground before lifting again and going over the water. They were easy enough for anyone to get into and even stay there if they wanted. Still, her hope was for the highest branch as a look out.

"So where are you going to let me start?" Yuki whispered to herself as she climbed around a few of the lower branches looking for the best place to get a hold of something. As silly as she could be, she was still in her favorite white dress that she always wanted to wear out. No matter what she did, the girl still liked to look good. That was a mystery to her guardian as well who, try as she might, couldn't get the girl to dress down even if she was so out going at times. Still, without Yuki knowing, Sirene did bring a change of clothes that the girl could slip into at any time. Never know when a tank and shorts would be needed for a little tom-girl.

Just as Yuki was leaping into the hair to grab onto a branch, a voice broke her thought and sent her falling back onto her butt and looking around for the source. Through the shade, Yuki caught sight of another girl running towards her, hair pulled back and in shorts. So this was the reason she was not flat on the ground?

"Hi." Was all she managed to get out before pushing herself up and brushing off her back side. Her eyes then turned back to the branch as she tried to jump for it again.

Kotatsu was dragging something into the park. Or rather, someone. As she pulled, the form of Guinevere became clear against the lefy backdrop. As usual, she was dressed in black and purple, her favourite colours, and her black ribbon, so similar to the ones adorning her wings, was tied into her hair. "Koooooo-taaaaaaa-tsuuuuuu!" Guinevere said crossly. "Liiiii-braaaaaa-ryyyyy!" Guinevere was wailing, having used up all her rational debates a block ago. Kotatsu shook her head, an unusually firm gesture on behalf of the shy woman. "You only go outside at night nowadays, Guinevere..." she quavered. "I... I really think some sunlight would be... would be nice! Don't you?" Guinevere shook her head firmly. "It'll be dull. There's nobody I know here. What am I supposed to do?" Kotatsu bit her lip at the challenge. People Guinevere knew consisted of a man once accused of kidnapping that her guardian could not quite approve of, a nice and bookish girl that assosciated with the man accused of kidnapping, and a younger herald who refused to talk. Apart from the bookish girl it was not much of a social life. But Kotatsu's mind was curiously blank once asked what Guinevere could do outside. Come to think of it, Kotatsu couldn't picture Guinevere doing anything outside. "You could... Ah... Climb a tree?" she said desperately.
