Also, if you guys look at Loth'loral's spirit as he enters the body, you'll notice he doesn't have his NM scarf, horn, etc.
In other words, just like his avatar when he is fighting Sedit.

If that's right it could mean that he possess people as a way of living, absorbing the abilities of the host for himself... Of course I'm just guessing, but if that's true then that dragon could turn into something really interesting...

I see where your going with this, but you have to remember, Loth'loral took off the horns and scarf, meaning they were never part of him. It was more or less a disguise he wore, likely part of a ploy to get Sedit to trust him more readily.
