Shadows faded away, leaving her exposed to the bright light of the sun. Squinting her eyes she bared her teeth at the unwanted glare, fangs glistening with menace at something she couldn't target. White-bared black ears pressed back against her pitch fur in distaste. She disliked the sunlight when it was this bright. A creature of the shadows and murky forest, the white bone-marked black female was uncomfortable in the heat of the full sun.
A soft growl rumbled low in her throat as he slunk forward, her pure white tails held low, twisting and swaying behind her like glistening spirits as she padded forwards. The sirene call of clean water the only lure that could bring her out into the harsh light of the midday sun.
Black fur rippled as she slunk to the river's edge, muzzle, with its white markings that resembled bone and fang dipping to draw the cool liquid up. Sweet and pure it sated the dreadful thirst that she had carried with her on this, the latest leg of her journey. Forgetting herself as she lapped eagerly at the water she let her pale eyes close against the sunlight, leaving her vulnerable and exposed for a brief time. Unaware of any that might approach the startlingly marked she-wolf.
