With the large influx of new players in the game, this is going to be an 'experimental few weeks' with allowing for open role play.
The idea of the next few weeks is to let characters get introduced to the school and each other and let anybody work on any individual stories that they want to work on within the confines of the game.
(Please PM me with anything you want to do to make sure that it is kosher.)

Dear Xavier Institute Students,
The next team competition is nearing. It is not a physical challenge like our last matches. This time it is a knowledge competition.
On Friday, the three selected candidates from each team will compete in three rounds of question and answer sessions. In each round, the two teams will compete in a designated room in the Xavier Institute. A panel of three judges will be in each room. The team that arrives at 30 questions answered correctly first will win their round. That team will move on to the next round.
In the third round, all remaining teams will compete head to head.
Students who have powers that may effect their knowledge of the questions such as precognative, time stopping, telepathic, and X-Ray vision students will not be able to compete in this tournament to keep fairness. Any team caught cheating will be disqualified.
The first head to head challenges will start at 11AM:
New Mutants vs Alpha Squadron - Student Lounge (Judges: Emma Frost, Sam Guthrie, Rhane Sinclair)
Hellions vs Exemplars - Science Lab 1 (Judges: Rogue, Jonothan Starsmore, Alex Summers)
Paragons vs Dragon - Cafeteria (Judges: Scott Summers, Lorna Dane, Allison Crestemere)
Fyre vs Thunder - Library (Bobby Drake, Ororo Munroe, Hank McCoy)
Excalibur vs Steel - Auditorium (Jean Grey, Warren Worthington, Roberto Costa)
Avengers vs Shadowwalkers - Gymnasium (Kitty Pryde, Piotr Rasputin, Danielle Moonstar)
Excelsiors vs Thieves - Art Studio (Forge, Jamie Maddrox, Sean Cassidy)
Round 2 will begin at 2:00 PM
Round 3 will begin at 4:00 PM
A party will be thrown after the competition is done including music and food.

MrScottSummers Once the final results came in, Scott got on the Institute comm: "Congratulations students, we had great participation in Round 1. Round 2 will start at 2:00 PM and we have the following teams competing: New Mutants vs Exemplars in the Cafeteria Paragons vs Fyre in Science Lab 1 Excalibur vs Thieves in the Library This round will be reduced to 20 questions right. Round 3 will be a triple threat with winner tags all in a ten question battle."

Update:
Hellions: Out in round 1
Paragons: Out in round 2
New Mutants: Living to see Round 3
New Hellions and Old Hellions and Hellions who are now Paragons: Siona sent an email to all characters seeing if they want to go to Las Vegas. This is the next story arch so keep it in mind that this is where we are going.
Characters who aren't Hellions: Evie has plans for the New Mutants on their week break from school.
Other Paragons: It will be up to you whether your character stays at the Institute or goes elsewhere once this trivia contest is over.

End on page 94:
The New Mutants won the trivia challenge pulling them into a tie with the Hellions in the standings.
The end of the event concludes with a social gathering to kick off spring break.
