While on Mark, VH1 interviewed a few famous rock celebrities about the possible demise of CBGB. Mark had the following to say:
"CBGB is an icon. It's an institution."
"When I saw on the news that there was a possibility that it would be closing down, it was on par with, like, 'They're closing down Mount Rushmore' or something like that. It can't happen."

Just on Travis, Meet The Barkers has been confirmed for a second season. NY Daily News has already reported some interesting, but unconfirmed news just to add more rumors:

Apparently the hot lights of reality TV are taking their toll on Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and his wife, former Miss USA Shanna Moakler. Their MTV show, "Meet the Barkers," the punk cousin of Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson's "Newlyweds," is filming the second season, to air in the fall. A Lowdown spy close to the production reports: "They were talking about splitting, but wanted to try for the kids, so the whole next season is about them in therapy."

The Barkers have a son, Landon, nearly 2, and are raising Atiana de la Hoya, Moakler's 6-year-old daughter from her previous relationship with boxer Oscar de la Hoya. Reps for MTV did not return detailed messages.

If you are anxious to hear the sound of Plus 44, "music will be up when the ball gets rolling." Carol will be sharing off vocals with Mark in the band. The two should gel nicely. If you want to hear what Carol's voice sounds like you can download a track of her singing with her former band Get The Girl. CLICK > HERE < to download Get The Girl's "Hope."

Now I know alot of people pretend they know either Mark, Tom or Travis, but this guy actually does. Not only does he have pictures and other material with himself and the Blink members, but he posted bulletins and blogs months back saying things that have now come true.

Here's a couple of things I got out from him:
Firstly, the reason why all this news about Angels And Airwaves has leaked early before anything official is because "Tom told me [Jay] he wants to spread the word amongst the fans first and expect a feb/march release."
Also Mark and Tom's entertainment production company > Resting Bird < have a countdown on their website. The "Resting Bird countdown=AVA Film and possibly the cd."

Here is some past news from MTV, firstly on the Resting Bird countdown:
"It's got nothing to do with Blink or Plus-44 or Travis Barker or anything like that," Resting Bird's Sam Yago said. "It's something completely different. I can't tell you what exactly it is, but it's something wonderful."
Sounds like the AVA movie?
_______________________

Also, here's past news on the hiatus and the AVA movie:
DeLonge will take a long vacation. He has no plans to make another Box Car Racer record. Tom and bassist Mark Hoppus also plan to use their time off to further develop their Resting Bird Entertainment production company.
"We have some new ideas in the works, a couple of which are quite large, so it might take a while for it to come out," DeLonge said. "I want to do a major motion picture, crazy weird stuff. I have ideas."

Perhaps his future film projects will have a political bent, as DeLonge said his new hobby is reading about politics.
_______________________

An actor in the AVA movie Michael Ostman has already confirmed that Resting Bird is making the movie so it all matches up.

Funny, this all seems pre-determined so maybe Blink will be back eventually afterall. Even Angels And Airwaves, and/or the AVA movie having a political side is interesting to note after it being reported by MTV a long time ago.
All of this so far has come true...

Oh and just for the record, Chris Georggin has been removed as a friend of Angels & Airwaves on their MySpace account, but Macbeth Shoes have sinced been added.

Also the PureVolume.com/AngelsAndAirwaves is FAKE.

Anyway in other news,
Travis recently received an Icon award at the Stuff Magazine Style Awards. He also did a small interview with Stuff Magazine. CLICK > HERE < for more.

Travis is also helping out with the Hurricane Katrina disaster.
Rapper Paul Wall said the following in a recent MTV interview:
"I have a foundation in Houston called Hope for Houston," Wall said on Thursday. "We've been petitioning a lot of clothing lines I deal with personally. Like Travis Barker got a clothing line called Famous Stars & Straps, and he donated to my foundation 5,000 pieces of clothes ? shirts, jeans, whatever."
CLICK > HERE < for the full article.

Tom has also played his part in the disaster. Yahoo! Music have now added a message from Tom about how you can help victims of Hurricane Katrina. Just CLICK > HERE < and watch the I Miss You video.

The following is taken from MTV.com

Blink's Tom DeLonge Promises 'The Greatest Rock And Roll Revolution'
Guitarist says album from new band, Angels & Airwaves, is nearly finished.

In the six months since Blink-182 announced they were going on "indefinite hiatus," two-thirds of the band have remained visible and active, freely discussing their plans for the future. Bassist Mark Hoppus has shifted his attention to producing albums and hosting podcasts, while drummer Travis Barker has been doing basically everything under the sun, including starring in a reality TV show, launching a shoe line and working on no less than three other musical projects ? the Transplants, Plus-44 (an electronic-tinged project with Hoppus) and an unnamed DJ/drummer collaboration with DJ AM.

The same cannot be said, however, for Blink guitarist Tom DeLonge, who all but disappeared in the wake of the Blink bust-up and has remained silent ever since, granting no interviews and making zero public appearances.

Understandably, fans began to wonder just what DeLonge had been up to. And now, they know ... sort of.

On Friday (September 16), DeLonge released a rather grandiose, cryptic and curiously punctuated statement on his whereabouts. Apparently, for the past six months, he's been hard at work in the studio, "preparing the greatest rock and roll revolution for this generation," a.k.a. the debut album from his new band, Angels & Airwaves.

"I love my fans, and I promise, I will not let you down. The music that we all grew to cherish that was made, not only will continue, but will be much, much better," his statement read. "All I can say is hold on, and prepare ..."

DeLonge's statement mirrors the bombastic braggadocio of an earlier statement posted on ? and since removed from ? from Angels & Airwaves' MySpace page, which read in part, "I have a new band ... and it is the most amazing music I have ever made by a long shot. I am two songs from finishing the best f---ing album anybody has heard in 20 years."

"This is the best music made in decades ... It is so much more powerful, emotional and melodic than Box Car and Blink put together, that I am currently sh---ing my pants," the statement continued. "You all must know, I didn't want Blink to go on hiatus, but it had to ... you all will learn why ... soon."

OK then. Blink's label, Geffen Records, did confirm that the Angels & Airwaves album is nearly completed, and that a "major announcement" from the band will be coming in the next few weeks. In the meantime, the band's official Web site, angelsandairwaves.com, has gone live, though there's not much on it other than a pretty bitchin' logo.

But when we'll hear a note of DeLonge's "amazing" music remains to be seen. In the meantime, Blink fans jonesing for a fix can take comfort in the fact that Plus-44 is rolling along nicely, and the band plans on hitting the studio sometime in October.

Rumors are going around that the 4 band members of Angels And Airwaves are Tom DeLonge, Alex Goodal, Dave Ricci and Cory Lipman. Well I can tell you that they started from > HERE <
That is a different purevolume site to the one already confirmed as FAKE (purevolume.com/angelsandairwaves).

This purevolume page claims a quote from Tom DeLonge about a 'world tour' and a support band:
"We heard, just yesterday, an incredible band, we suggest to people who like our music, you will love GLEN MORROW MEWS, on behalf of the band, check them out: www.purevolume.com/glenmorrowmews
They will be opening for us, for our next world tour, so check em out! GLEN MORROW MEWS!!
- Tom Delonge

It seems that this is a FAKE as well. Funnily enough I checked out that band and they have band members named Dave and Cory (who are alleged to be in AAA). Also, I dont see why (if that really is the Angels And Airwaves purevolume page) they would put their band members and tour info on their purevolume page and nothing on their official site, myspace page, or Macbeth. It just looks like a page created to plug a band. From that alleged quote by Tom, it says- "we suggest to people who like our music, you will love GLEN MORROW MEWS"
AAA havent released any music so how can people know if they like their music? There is also no Angels And Airwaves logo or image anywhere, just a pic of Tom from TOYPAJ.

So basically just warning you, other sites have already posted that these are indeed the band members of AAA. I can pretty much say that they are NOT. The only band member confirmed is Tom DeLonge himself, and it seems likely Dave Kennedy (of Box Car Racer) is also in the band.

Also just for the record, Kari DeLonge (Tom's sister) has been added as a friend to the Angels And Airwaves MySpace. CLICK > HERE < to see that. It takes the total up to 3, with Macbeth, Chris Georggin and Kari DeLonge as the only friends. It seems as if no fans will be added yet.

Stay tuned for more developments in the coming weeks!

Wow, thanks!!! That's a lot of information...I've been trying to find out everything over the past few days and I still missed a lot of it, thanks for the update. I hadn't heard any music by Carol before now either...hopefully it'll sound good put together with Mark's. I can't wait to hear Plus 44 (and Angels & Airwaves biggrin )!!!

Edit: I hope Tom sings in Angels & Airwaves...part of the reason I liked Blink so much was his voice, it's unique (heh, it sounded better combined with Mark's voice though...and their music... sweatdrop )
