I think Sasori's quite dead, yes. And I have no clue whatsoever how Kakashi got Mangekyou Sharingan, hopefully he'll explain everything in any of the coming chapters sweatdrop

There must be a different way to get the Mangekyou since...if you have noticed..It really doesn't look like Itachi's mange. So there must be a "good" way of getting it.
Either that it looks different because he has only one Sharingan sweatdrop

Maybe it's actualy Itachi in disguise! eek
Or possibly it's just some other, weird mutation of the Sharingan. I mean, Kakashi is one of a kind, right? The only non-Uchiha with it? So there's no telling just how the Sharingan will develop over time.
