I saw Hancock and Wanted (not necessarily in that order) and must conclude that both films are interesting, but also forgettable in their own rights, Wanted being the stronger of the two films. So if the choice is between these two, go Wanted. Summed up: Hancock has a amusing and semi-plausible first half, while the second half, after it promises to tackle the things that make a superhero movie cool (i.e. villain, origin, climactic battle) fails to deliver. Not bad mind you, simply not good. Wanted, on the other hand, is simply "okay" movie-wise beginning to end, but also undeniably fun at times and sports fairly good effects riddled shoot out preceding the finale. Not great mind you, but simply not bad.

Argh, my friends are giving me the choice of seeing Don't Mess With The Zohan, The Happening and Hancock next week.
Looks like I'm gonna have to go with Hancock...
Dude, Wanted isn't even out here yet D:

I was somewhat disappointed with the finale of Wanted... The main character is able to
**Spoiler Alert**
infiltrate the assassin stronghold and kill 90% of the members way too easily... Thus, the pacing is way too far off.
I think if they had done it correctly, they could have put it in two movies, or even three... but instead, they rushed the whole plot to the point where it seems that sir Gordon becomes far too strong, far too quickly... and is able to overcome superior numbers despite the fact that each person he kills has had far more training than he.

Yeah and no. I mean... It was good action and that's all it set out to be... I thought. If you want a kick, try reading the graphic novel sometime. Then come back to me and tell me what carried over into the movie... It's a short list to be sure.

well, yeh, obviously it's not going to hold more weight than what the producers put into it... but it's just disappointing that it could've been alot more, and wasn't.
That, opposed to something that's overdone... you know, like... say... the matrix... how that could've been a single action movie, and it would've been great.
This was just too condensed.

I know what you mean. You really oughta read the graphic novel though. It's so epic you won't understand why they touched the story or setting at all.

FlikMage I know what you mean. You really oughta read the graphic novel though. It's so epic you won't understand why they touched the story or setting at all. I don't even have enough cash to keep up my pirating business... let alone some left over for graphic porn novels
